Well they're no longer working on DAI content which is good as it means they're now switching their attention to DA4 and I'm excited to know about what happens next, an awakening style expansion would of been nice but ah well.

I think Bioware said previously that they would never work on an Awakenings style expansion ever again.

They said at some point that they had five originally planned, but that did not mean there could not be more if the franchise remains popular.

Thank you for the information but I must admit I haven't heard of this before; where was this mentioned?

Also, wasn't ME3 originally supposed to be the definitive end of the series (hence the Ending) but they later changed their mind? If so a precedent for altering initial sequel plans is already there.

ME3 was supposed to be the end of the trilogy (i.e. Shepard's story arc), not necessarily the franchise.

It was a while ago. I think it was either David Gaider or Mike Laidlaw who said it, but I can't remember where. Don't really know about what the story is with ME, I don't really follow it.

How do I feel? Pretty mixed opinions...

Furious, because as a Xbox360 owner I feel like a guy who buy a 20 year old horse at full price.

Disgusted, because each and every update was a ripoff of previously fully working parts of my game.

Anxious, because this team will work now on my beloved series, Mass Effect.

Why do the cast of Torchwood always play Elves in Dragon Age?

Will John Barrowman show up in the next one as a promiscuous Elven Rogue?

I really, really hope so. Although, with the American accent he sounds more like a dwarf or qunari ...

(Of course, he's Secretly Scottish, so he could always play someone from Starkhaven.)

I want to say it was Laidlaw. In any case, I recall it being a kind of, "we have ideas for at least five games, but we'll see how things go" sort of statement. So, enough lore ideas in their head for the franchise to remain steady should it prove tremendously successful.

If DA keeps selling then they'll keep making 'em. I wouldn't surprised if in 30 years DA10 was coming out. ME on the other hand greatly depends upon ME:A's reception. DA has always been a world, with different parts of it to explore and different protagonists, while ME was originally Shepard's story. If people accept MEA then ME could go on forever too, or if people just want Shepard too much the ME:A could be the final ME game.

Tomorrow I can finally buy a PS4, until then i'll be re-playing Zone of the Enders: The 2'nd Runner to pass the time.

Uh...why would anyone ever want Shepard back? The ME trilogy came as close to making me hate my protagonist as is possible without making me ditch the whole thing before it was ended.

It left a void in my life. What do I do with my time now? :OOO

The beauty of DA, especially my inquis, is that I form a real connection to my character. That's not something I can do with a pre-determined protag. Now that his story is over, I'm a tad upset but then relieved that some questions were answered.

Honestly, I'd be okay with seeing my Inquisitor back in DA4 either as a cameo or a playable character.

I agree (more or less) I think Shepard's story is done, and I am greatly looking forward to seeing what is next. Sadly there are a lot of people who want the same story over and over again and don't want anything to change, so they want Shepard to return again and have the same story as ME1, 2, & 3:

Step 1) No-one belives him

Step 2) He proves there is evil in the galaxy! (Saren at the Citadel, Collectors on that Alliance world were we meet old squad mates, Cerberus at the Galaxy Leaders meeting)

Step 3) He collects something to win! (Conduit Info and Location in ME, Squaddies in ME2, Alliances in ME3)

Step 4) He defies all odds and defeats evil!

I'm saying MEs story has been bad, I've thoroughly enjoyed it. But I am very much looking forward to a new character and hopefully a new story archetype. Hopefully we aren't a soldier this time around. I am fine with where they left Shepard, maybe in 2 or 3 games they can have the ME Keep recognize your ME3 choices and build off what happens post ME3 ending, but for now I just want to go where no ME has gone before.

Honestly I am surprised at how many questions were answered at the end of Trespasser. I am used to DAO and DA2 where most mysteries remain mysterious. There are still a ton of questions (Darkspawn, Blight, Black/Golden City, wtf are Titans really, etc), but we actually got a few important ones answered (Arlathan, Old Elves, nature of the Fade).

Trespasser answered more questions than DA games usually reveal. I'm so glad so many elven lore questions were answered!

I'm rather relieved that we now have the complete Inquisition experience. Although the main storyline wasn't completely up to my expectations, from what I've played of Descent and Trespasser, they have opened up new lore opportunities to explore in further installments.

Now to get multiple playthroughs done and finish reading the books before the fourth game comes out.
