I've downloaded the DLC content that should let me get Shale, but the village is not showing up on the map. Do I need to start a new game to find him or what?
Honnleath isn't on map despite DLC is active

You need to follow the quest that you are given when it's installed. Look in the Premium Content tab of the quest log and look for a quest called Sulcher's Pass. You have to go there first.

If it doesn't appear then you may be missing the additional component required for Sulchers pass to appear, make sure your update service is running right etc.
