I wouldn't read too much into it because it's different with a female Shepard. She'll look down and pat her stomach with both hands.

Yeah, I think this is a bit of a stretch.

Out of curiosity, why do you dislike Anderson?

Yes, this is a cycle. A dream cycle.
BWAAAMMMM.
But really yes.
You hear the dream music in the background of the first Reaper blast (where you hit the bench) too.
Anderson helps us out over and over and over. We owe him 'more than one'.
Now everyone, play your New Game Plus to unlock more weapon levels. Over and over. Play your DLC that takes you back in time. Over and over. Get stuck in the Citadel and never leave. Or leave and kick some Reaper ass. Sometime.

Remember The Reapers use Memory to manipulate what people see.
The Normandy SR1 crashed in Dreamtime.

Remember The Reapers use Memory to manipulate what people see.
That would mean something if The Reapers designed ME3.

You're grasping at straws. The ending is stupid nonsense.

Here's why
I don't get it, you actually choose to dislike Anderson instead of blaming BioWare for some less than convincing writing?
In ME2, when they had Miranda blaming Joker for 'letting' the Collectors abduct the crew, I didn't go about calling her names and what not, I blamed BioWare for using her character like this to stir up controversy in the forums and keep people talking about the game.
I mean they called it the Lazarus Project for crying out loud! She headed it, and she is therefore proof, if any more was needed, that God of this world is female.
She knows that Joker can only wield an assault rifle in retarded cutscenes, so there is no way she'll ever blame him for not single-handedly stopping the Collectors.

I'm guessing you're a Anderson fan? So if everybody that doesn't like a character, whoever that character might be, should blame Bioware because of the writing? If that's what you're saying, why aren't you posting on nearly every thread telling folks to blame Bioware for the writing of that character instead of hating that character?

I wouldn't say she was blaming him for that, it was him unshackling an AI.

Miranda blaming Joker was mostly venting. However, the blame on him would be fore allowing them to be boarded in the first place, not failing to repel said boarding.

See, I can fully understand that many don't warm up to Ashley because of her extreme feelings when it comes to how relations with aliens work.
I can fully understand that many don't warm up to James because they find him bland and boring. I initially did not either, for the better part of the past 3 years in fact.
I don't particularly like or care as much about Garrus as so many who go on and on and on with the "Garrus is my bro" thing. On those, I don't blame bad writing. I think these characters are superbly written.
For the record, I am *not* a fan of Anderson. In my last playthrough I let TIM shoot him just to speed things along and skip the 'best seats in the house'-for-us-to-cry-on-cue part.
The points you mention as for why you dislike Anderson though, I fully agree with you that they are low points, very low points. But something doesn't add up considering Anderson's rank in the Alliance; considering what they told us about Anderson coming closest to First Human Specter before Shepard.
I call bullshit on BioWare's part: e.g. Anderson, Admiral in the Alliance, who'll step up as leader of the resistance on Earth within minutes of the Reapers attacking, asked Admiral Hackett, "Is this what Shepard warned us about?" -- got answered "I'd stake my life on it" -- and he goes to tell the same *Shepard* "We don't know yet"????!
Half-àss excuse to get us to have Shepard act 'Paragon' or 'Renegade' I'd say. Consequently, Anderson takes one for the team against the fans, sorry old man.

... sorry old man.
And you can slow your roll, youngster. People are allowed to dislike characters. It's part of how games like this work. People have opinions and often share them on public forums.

Are you aware that "sorry, old man" was directed at Anderson?

Thanks Natureguy. And thanks for that clarification about Miranda venting upon the Collector abduction happening. Appreciate that.

I couldn't agree more. I started off with Ashley, James, and Garrus as examples of this very point.
Look, my post is there, so allow me to just quote one whom Wrex considers a sister to him: "you should listen to us Wrex, we actually have good ideas sometimes"

Look at the word order. "Anderson takes one for the team. Sorry old man."
It refers to the previous sentence.

What's extreme about Ashley's views?
