Inconsistent Isabella damage

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I was playing her today and her damage output was all over the place. 

 

I'm using Savage Thorn in main hand & Audacity in off hand with Superb crit damage bonus ring. All games were on Perilous.

 

Game 1: Damage output sucked. Ambush crits on anywhere from 1.2k to 2.5k, that was the rage from tough to basic. 

 

Game 2: Damage back to normal. Ambush crits around 8k.

 

Game 3: A mix of both--very low Ambush crits, then very high. Basic attacks on the same enemy type, an archer to be specific, ranged from 90~ main hand to 80~ off hand, then back to normal on a different archer. After this, I played my Assassin with 2x Savage Thorns and all damage was normal across the entire match, and far in excess of the 80-90 basic damage Izzy was doing. This was with no crits, as I has not picked up the crit passives yet. Flanking was not a factor, as I made sure of this. Even when I tested flanking damage, the increase in damage was sub-par.

 

The bottom line is her damage output sucked one moment, then she was back to normal the next. I had a really difficult time taking down demons, where AP should not be a factor. It was like the proper damage output would come in waves during the match.I know my Izzy and I know what she can do on Perilous. Bolt and Broadsides had issues with damage too, as Broadsides would hit in the hundreds one shot, then for thousands the next. Without writing a novel, Izzy was very frustrating to use today. Before the patch, Perilous with Izzy was a cakewalk. Now it's a beatdown. She shines one moment, then falters the next. What gives?

The huge difference between 1,2k and 8k may be related to taunted or not, have you thougth of that? Just wanna make sure.

And different enemies even in the same faction have different defenses which results in different damage they do and take.

 

Played her today and yesterday, too (PC). had no problems so far.

Plus don't you have to catch the target by surprise to do the huge damage? You know... ambush them?

Yeah the ambush part I get, but basic attack damage--per hit, seriously? Bolt/broadsides damage was extremely low. Normally Broadsides hits for 2-3k per enemy. How do you explain 2-300 per enemy? There's a massive disparity going on here. Regardless, I will give her another go tomorrow and see what happens. I played her the night before on Threatning and literally had to stop attacking and stand around so the other squad mates could get some action...when my Izzy was at level 1.

How do you explain 2-300 per enemy?

 

Enemy armor changes, and eats at your damage, as you have little or no armor penetration on your build / gear/ team debuffs.

if your team mate has a team buff for 10% extra team damage and i don't know if it stacks but if another teammate has it as well but a different class than this could have a major effect
