we will know if the Warden accomplished his mission! Am I the only one excited for it? No? Ok...
2 years have passed? Then...

I asked the same question. Logically the Hero's mission should be complete, one way or the other. Whether we will hear about the result is quite a different story.
If a Ferelden monarch shows up in Trespasser, then there is a chance.

I don't know, a cure for the Calling is kind of a Big Deal, especially if you're off looking for it alone. I wouldn't blink at it taking a decade, minimum.

I think the Warden or well the result of what the warden did will appear in the next game. I don't think we will ever get more than a codex entry and a mention from some characters. A cameo is highly unlikely. Hopefully we will go to Anderfels in the next game and solve the Warden conflict that is brewing, will likely know more then.

It's sad that a cameo is unlikely, but It doesn't matter, the day Bioware announces Dragon Age 7 or 8 or whatever it is, I'll still ask, are we going to play with the Warden?

What BioWare could do is mention that the Hero has died on this quest. Then, in a future game, we could pick up from where the Hero got to before they died and find the cure ourselves.

From the looks of it, we will be facing hard hitting problems soon has the content starts, won't have time to worry about the warden so very little mention or none at all.
Two countries are mad at me, oh what about the warden are they...yeah doesn't seem likely...

Maybe a codex entry if we're lucky, but don't hold your breath. Bioware seem to be keen to forget the Warden, even if many of us haven't.
And lets not forget another reason for a time skip could very well be that, if they didn't get cured..it would be time for the calling and like all wardens before them lost to history in the deep roads or elsewhere
Also the mess with wardens infighting will be address so could be mention there, if they do tie up all lose ends from the ending

Someone in a thread here pointed out that, Solas is said to head west for an unknown reason at the end of the game, and the Warden in his/her letter is also heading west for a cure for the calling. Coincidence? Perhaps, you have to take into account that the Warden may be dead. But, perhaps not a coincidence. Who knows. We will know sometime this week...if there's no Warden mentioned then I guess the answer is a big fat yes, it's a coincidence.

I wrote it in a nother thread:
Bioware always advertise with "Make you own decision in our games" (as far as it is possible, of course). But the most important decision "What happen to our beloved characters?" THIS decision they always ruin. Look at ME3 and also at DA:O and DA2. They don't understand, somehow: The players want to decide themself what happen to their characters! ME3 they just killed Shepard, DA:O & DA2 the heros are lost in action. ![]()
A lot of players want a wide range of possibilitys what happen to the heros: Dying as an ashole, dying as a hero, destroying a lot and become mad, dissapear, go for further adventures, retire alone, retire with romance, retire with romance and 43 1/2 children.
Playing DA:O, DA2 and DAI on after another is sutch a great gaming experience, but without the possibility to choose "the own destiny" it's a gaming experience with a bitter aftertaste. And it's not so fascinating as it could be. Just a few codex entries and they could corret this, but ..... ![]()
I hope so mutch that Bioware read Threads like this one here. ![]()
PS: I think a lot of people wants a warden story because it was a great game & a great feeling & a great idea, but ALSO because Bioware dit not finished this story. Like they dit not finished Hawks story .... But this is NOT a good storyteller behavior / attitude.

I get the feeling the warden will be mentioned in DA4 and I hope we get a hawke like quest line where we team up with the warden.

I wouldn't get your hopes up over the Warden being mentioned. BW have pretty much written the Warden off.
Our Warden save the world from the Archdemon practically alone, of course she/he can find a cure for the calling.
These two post summarize what's wrong about the Warden:
Bioware created an overpowered Mary Sue, which is far from unusual from them. The problem is that once they were allowed to turn Origins into a full fledged franchise, the writers decided to focus on the (much more interesting) tale of an age of turmoils, and OP sues simply have no place in such tales. (hence the introduction of the much more fallible -and relatable- Hawke as Dragon Age 2's protagonist).
Except that since the Warden remains potentially alive, and part of Inquisition happens within his/her turf, Bioware writers had to invent a credible excuse to keep him/her away from the events, which in turn became another unresolved plot thread which will have to be dealt with one way or another.
Personally the main problem I have toward regarding a surviving Hero of Ferelden is that it seems that Orlais and Ferelden are fated to become hostile toward the Inquisitor... Yet Ferelden still adores the Warden who
- Unleashed Anders upon an unsuspecting world
- Went AWOL precisely at the time his/her presence was most needed

Ey....My Warden wasn't a Mary Sue thank you very much......Not how I played her anyway. Or does pulling the Murder knife out at every given opportunity, and leaving a Village to the undead count toward being a Mary Sue?These two post summarize what's wrong about the Warden:

We are long past the point of absurdity here. Im convinced that, as the universe has it's final moment before oblivion claims all there will be only one voice heard. And it will say "But what about the Warden?"
Folks, you need to learn to let go. The Warden is done. Move on.

Given that she still winds up regarded as a great hero adored by thousands instead of abandoned by any and everyone, yes.

He/she went to some unknown part of Thedas where people tend to disappear anyway.
So bye warden.

Warden is waaay overrated. He is the sock of human emotion, plus kind of creepy how he always just stares at people. And i hear he has lupus.
