Could be wrong, but I think the Maker effectively exists, but all understandings of him are imperfect. He is an idea forming into a shape over the ages, and through time wibbly wobbly, coming to exist.

I feel comfortable with my Inquisitor being ambivalent about the Maker.

That the proto-Tevinter/Tevinter Creator Diety later known as the Maker exists yes, however from what little we've seen of preandrastian Tevinter belief he doesn't seem to usually directly interact wtih the world and most likely dwells somewhere beyond the fade whereever the spirits of the dead go after passing though the fade.

The maker may exist in some fashion, but certainly not as the Chantry depicts him (especially given the revelations of Trespasser). For example, there was never a singular moment in time when all peoples everywhere worshiped the same god(s), so the Andrastian idea of "turning away from the Maker" is quite easily debunked. Remember, the humans are recent arrivals to Thedas compared to the elves and the dwarves, with the Qunari arriving after from the same direction (across the northern seas)

I agree he likely doesn't exist as the two major groups of Andrastians belive but from what I understand the maker was conformed to be the same enity as the ancient creator dieity the ancient Northern Tevinter Tribes worshiped and the later old god worshiping Tevinter Imperium still aknoweleged as the creator diety.

Considering that the Maker is an entirely fictional deity, no, I don't believe in him personally.

However, my human Inquisitors (and some Dwarven ones) do believe that the Maker exists and are devoutted  Andrastians.

I believe Sandal IS the Maker.

I also think Sandal is June, the elvhen god of craft / making stuff. And Sandal is The Stone, or perhaps The Stone's soul. Since little is known at all about June or the Maker, I'd also suggest Sandal is The Tevinter's Maker - with one codex explaining that when the Maker turned his back on the spirit world, demons grew from jealous spirits. We never see Sandal in the spirit world, only in the real world.

I would not be surprised if the little enchanter created everything.

Maybe I'm wrong. But there's a big reason why Sandal has been no where near Solas or Inquisition except as a Cameo.

But wouldn't that be sweet? If the Maker chose to manifest as a sweetheart dwarf? Not intervening, just watching his creations in his world and offering help when approached.
