So I started my first pure Renegade playthrough on Mass Effect 1 and it's been purely amazing so far.

I have always completed pure Paragon playthroughs because that suited my playstyle best - so when I started the renegade playthrough I had to do so without taking my character too seriously - and can I just say: It's been hilarious so far.

Giving Ashley a hard time because she broke the Beacon and telling her to forget about Jenkins.

Telling Tali that I don't want aliens on my ship and letting Garrus know that I don't trust him.

I'm thoroughly enjoying it and couldn't stop laughing at how mean I was to everyone and that the game actually let me do this.

What's more - the story just advanced regardless - I was being an annoyance to everyone and yet I was made a Spectre.

I can't wait to do a full Renegade playthrough of the entire franchise!

For me the best game to go pure renegade was ME2 since the interrupts where sooo much fun to do!!! Renegade isn't necessarily a douche he/she is just very sarcastic and somewhat rude xD

I'm interested in this "Jacob dies" thing, because I just really don't like him. I'm assuming the Cerberus Scientists mission in ME3 is the same (sans a pregnant Haw-- Brynn) if you let Jacob die on the Collector Base? And doesn't Steve die in London anyway? His shuttle's been shot down in my last two playthroughs and I've talked to him. And also been nice to him.

Have you visited him i think thrice in the citadel? one in the refugee camp, the other one right before you go back to the normandy, and third one in purgatory? I usually have him survive each playthrough ive been on >.>

If Jacob isn't in ME3, his replacement, Dr. Webber, takes his place and does the samething except the dialogue. Jacob can also die in ME3. Don't do the mission involving him and his name will appear on the wall after completing Chronos

If you talk with Steve at least twice on the Citadel, he will survive in London. His shuttle will always be shot down.

Thank you! I thought that the goldfish I had in second grade would have been the last creature to die from my inattention. Now I'm sad.

I plan on running a mostly full-renegade play through of the series very soon

...but, Garrus? How can you be rude to Garrus. He is a total bro and the best companion in the series!

Honestly, in ME1, I have to say that the renegade is kinda blunt but not crazy until after you become a spectre. I actually kind of agree with quite a few of the renegade options in ME1 at the beginning. Like telling Joker to stop talking about his commanding officers? Makes sense to me.

ME2 renegade is the best if you're going for just pure hilarity.

There is some really rough stuff in a full renegade play-through though. Worst moment in ME1 IMO:

Spoiler

Only did it once with one pure renegade Shep. Really twisted my stomach.

Oh, one tip for the OP, do not shoot Wrex in ME1, rather renegade persuade him on Virmire. It'll give you opportunities to be all the more evil in ME2/3

And one more for ME2, during Thanes loyalty mission, when you follow that turian dude on the walkways and you encounter some guy who's in your way, do not use the renegade interrupt, Again, use the renegade persuasion option or you'll miss out on one of the funniest scenes in the trilogy. ;)

Can't a pure renegade avoid that by the right choice in ME2? Or is that a Paragon choice?

It can be avoided in a Renegade run.

To avoid shooting Mordin, if playing as a renrgade, have Wreav in charge and eve dead and then pick the bottom left dialogue as seen in the video above provided by Monica21

I did that in my recent playthrough, I felt so bad afterwards, but my Shep had... reasons, haha. I wasn't even full Renegade, pretty much balanced throughout my run, but I made some horrible decisions.

One of the worst was to

in ME2.

It's great to try things out, but I'm not sure I could ever do a pure Renegade playthrough :D (Yeah, I'm a p*ssy like that, haha)

I want to try out not curing the genophage with Wrex alive... but I'm not sure if I really wanna see this, hahaha.

I never could do an absolutely pure Renegade run just because I didn't want to lock out Ash. :)

Have taken some of the dialogue though, although I would reload afterwards.
