Obviously I don't know if we will ignore these events in Mass Effect Andromeda - but do people feel that it would be wrong to not acknowledge past events as it would disregard what the title of the series actually stands for?

I had also been wondering about this for a while now. For the most part, BioWare did an awesome job at bringing fantastic lore to the original Mass Effect series and I would say that most of this lore and stories hold together quite nicely. The title "Mass Effect" refers to a technology that wasn't created by humans or other races but rather "discovered" by them. I am of the opinion that it would be difficult to not include some kind of explanation to keep the Mass Effect title when all the Mass Relays are destroyed. While humans may have "discovered" Mass Effect technology, presumably they have also somewhat mastered the ability to reproduce that technology and are still using it after they get to Andromeda. (After all, Traynor's toothbrush uses "tiny mass effect fields", doesn't it? I doubt the Reapers created that toothbrish...). There needs to be some kind of continuity here...

For me, it's the music.

...and guns that can fold in upon themselves.

When I think Mass Effect I think of the Citadel, the home of galactic government. I don't know why but I would be disappointed if in ME:A there isn't at least mention or a cutscene of the Citadel in Milky Way.
