I'm torn by this. I love making Cole human and seeing him happy, but I want Krem happy too and if Cole's a spirit he is happy. Can't decide now lol

Seriously. I love Cole and I prefer making him more human... but I am also fond of Krem, and want him to be happy, too.

Solas says "I did not lay with you...." and I don't remember all of the rest but it seemed to me that he was implying that he did not bed my Quizzy just to gain false trust. Or something to that effect.

He mentioned the Dalish say "May the Dread Wolf take you" and you can reply that he did, and he will say he never laid with you because you did not know who he really was and he would never do that to you. Then Lavellen says she's referring to her heart because she loved him.

Slight [and I haven't played it yet so maybe slightly inaccurate] rant follows:

Know what Solas should do if he feels guilty? Kill himself. Honestly you don't alleviate your guilt over diminishing/killing your people by, thousands of years later, setting up a  chain of events that killed thousands and will probably kill thousands more. Do those lives just not matter? Is Solas that racist? So assured in his belief in the superiority of those that came before that everyone else can just go die because they don't even qualify? Does he even care that elves might not even want this?

From a human/mortal perspective it all sounds appalling and even nonsensical but I can TOTALLY see a god reasoning like this. They might not be immune to the plights of those beneath them but it will never really  factor into their motivations or reasoning. Not if they're sure they're right.

At the same time I can see the appeal of Solas' world. I might even support it if: 1) not just elves get the immortality and magic, everyone should and 2) not everyone died. That last one is kinda important.

Getting the bloody thing out is a god damn chore (honestly I spent twenty minutes of my stream actually screaming I was that frustrated) but I dunno if it changes anything yet, so I'd let it out - don't forget to blow up the explosives because they're in the way

Also I did this on casual. It was not on casual. It felt like a nightmare.

Ok thanks!

Well, they'll have to invent them eventually don't they? What better time to try than when a leader loses a limb?

Nothing in the previous lore so far, inquisitor is a special case all together who can get access to some of the best mages and engineers in thedas. They can easily solve the situation via magic or magitech.

No, but the Inquisition has Dagna. Nothing is impossible.

Except then we face the issue of the Inquisitor not having their adventuring days behind them like Bioware seems to want, so chances are it will be nothing but headcanon.

Still not a fan of Bioware forcibly mutilating "our" character.

Maybe. I just thought the stinger seemed to imply the Inquisitor will be involved in some way, shape or form in the coming conflict.

Yes, I alway wanted that my charming Inquisitor lady run around with something like this:

Spoiler

Blood magic here I come! Ummm, maybe I can harvest Sera for spare parts... I knew she'd be useful for something eventually.

I honestly would have preferred a choice to kill the inquisitor. With the inquisitor being alive no matter what I guess s/he'll serve the same role in the sequel as when Hawke did *shudders*

Oh yeah! That's what he says. Thank you for clearing that up. :)

I thought so too, but it's too cute. He says that he loves helping people and her music helps people and he makes her happy and she makes him happy. He also spent years listening to her sing at the tavern lol but if he's a spirit he sets her up with Krem.

Krem is dead in my playthrough, so I would have to worry about that dilemma.  :P

I mentioned this earlier. Only they knew the truth about Solas and his plans so death would have made it bad for Thedas since no one would know he's going to destroy everything.

I think it was mostly just to tease where the next game will take place.  Bioware said this is the end of the Inquisitor's story. At most the new protagonist will join up with the Inquisition's developing Tevinter Branch or whatever new group we form if we disband the Inquisition.

The problem is that by creating the Veil Solas "lobotomized" everyone. And now only a few can be as they're all supposed to be (mages). That's why he feels guilty and killing himself won't do; he wants to restore the world to how it's supposed to be.

I'm curious if he's an easy fight like when Zevran betrays you or Fenris or one of the others in the Fade. They died in 2 seconds when I did it.

For me The Iron Bull put up a pretty good fight, but that's partly because I lost my warrior when he turned so just had a mage and two rogues plus I gave him really good stuff just like I did all my companions.

The problem here is that 'supposed' only counts for him and a handful of others. The regular people don't know what they're missing and seemingly haven't for the the entirety of recorded history, they don't miss it, they have lived, live and will continue to live fulfilling lives sans magic. Forcefully making the choice to 'fix' what people no longer consider broken because you know better is supremely hubristic.

He's well named is Solas. He chose that name himself right? So he's probably aware of this. Unless he chose it for other reasons.

Hawke did not have a terrible role.

It wasn't great, maybe wasn't even good, but I don't regard it as terrible.

It was something. And if that's the testing round for something more with the Inquisitor, I'm curious, not wary.

Yeah.

This DLC only shifts focus north, but that doesn't mean that this group of Inquisition remnant itself even matters, as that, in the next game.

What I strongly doubt it that we'll never see the Inquisitor in DA4. Or that we'll never get a main story quest involving what they're doing up in Tevinter. Stuff like that.

I can see a Morrigan In Arbor Wilds type deal (very generally speaking) situation.

Indeed.

No matter what, his intentions are Pro (His People) Elf.

But I think he can be sympathetic to what has been done to Thedas on the larger scale.

We are/were 'meant' to be magical. He stopped that. Elves like Sera may be just fine with that, for example, but at the same time, we may be missing our full potential, stuck to making do with what we have here like Tevinter did, or reaching up for hope like the Chantry does.

For the record I haven't seen the convo itself, so correct me on anything wrong.
