I LIKE that! A slave that rises to save the world? HAHA! That would be cool! Even an elf or a dwarf would work.

I would kinda prefer each race have a different origin (hopefully with at least a brief playable section before sh*t hits the fan) because I like options. I kinda went for the slave idea for Qunari because it seems like a good way to have a qunari protagonist that isn't part of the Qun (and doesn't look like an idiot for asking about it) without repeating the Vashoth background of DAI.

Thats was not a rogue faction, it was sanctioned by the Qun, thats why Hissrad betrays you. They are just putting up a front.

I agree, that was the essence of my complaint after all.

Or the Qunari are just massive liars (perhaps even to themselves) and are as politically fractured in certain ways as any other faction.

I like the slave idea precisely because it allows a lot of variety with a single origin.  I think one of the things about Hawke that worked really well was that they only had one framework to work with. Quizzie was bland in part because there were so many things s/he could be.  A single background with a lot of room for diversity within that background, IMO, is an excellent compromise.

This DLC is like DA2 one, i mean for all of us it was obvious cory body hoped into the grey warden but we couldn't do ****. Same here, was hoping we could kill Solas and end future problems, but i guess he is the new plot driver for future games.

This is what annoys me about this franchise, they keep saying its about the world not characters, but they turn heel and keep reusing characters when their plots should have ended in their respective games. I mean 3 games now and all we have done is clean up in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah, the Devs pretty much stated that his story is far from over.  Sounds like he's become the Big Bad though...so, its possible you'll put him in the ground in the future.  I'm mixed on this one...

I can see it now...

Solas:  'You cannot kill your friend.'

Inquisitor:  '...You're right.'

Turns to new PC.

  'Kill my friend.'

Still a good concept.  Unique origins would be awesome though.  It would be good to bring them back and kind of show WHY you were recruited, right?

Given everything we know now, perhaps the Golden/Black City really was an Ancient Elvhen structure?

What really caught be was when the librarian recited the last words of a person as soon as the veil was " The paths are gone! Please don't let me fall, please don't let me fall, please don't let me fall!" Yikes

It was also suggested that the Forbidden Ones (Ganxkang, Imshael, etc) were once elves?

Solas refers to the Pantheons are the "firsts of his people" meaning that they probably  were 1st elves to exists? Additionally, they rose to their position due to a great war. Perhaps there's more to Elgar'nan defeating the Sun (his father)

Anybody else find it funny how the College of Enchanters exists in every ending? Guess pro-templars have to accept that there are independent mages regardless of who is Divine.

there was too much mages who run from more than 12 prisons and many templars turn to red lyrium and were killed by Inquisition

save some mages in redcliffe or not it will not really matter in Thedas, and saving some templars in ferelden were not making sense.

My ending:

Spoiler

Leliana was great against spies of Corypheus, from all I gathered.

But she was so single minded that she didn't watch out for elven and Qunari spies. I assume if they didn't show signs of being of Cory, she dismissed it for more urgent matters.

Any future spy stuff will show a clear upgrade from her.

But she wasn't terrible. Only flawed. Just as she is as a person.

I think as a whole, all the divine have the same ending about the new college of mages. In my ending, I was allied with the templar, and the circle of Vivienne was a success, and because of that, she accepted that the mages of the inquisition disowned can create their own college of mages. That just doesn't make any sense. You have already the circle, why would you let that happen vivi ? That doesn't sound like you, but more like Bioware which needed absolutely the same path for everyone, probably more pratical and easier for them for after.

Cullen has become like samson and dies one year after, but only because he let that happen, leaving the inquisition after a while and probably crying over his fate until he become mad. I underestimated how much he was disgusted to be a templar. I thought he was stronger.

2 things about her that made her a bit less than a master spy is she knew of Blackwall's identity (it's clearly reveled in her dialogue when she thanks you for finding him) and she should have been more aware of Solas.

I accept the Solas stuff but yes, we should have, even very optionally, at least seen Leliana be suspicious about Blackwall and follow up on it.

Personally, my biggest beef with the Mage endings in the original epilogue is that unless Leliana is Divine, they go back to civil war mode regardless, which was kind of frustrating.  Of course part of that was because I hated the idea of Leliana being both the Divine and the top dog spy of a separate (if somewhat affiliated) large organization.  Since the Inquisition ends up either becoming a direct arm of the Divine or a "disbanded" shadow organization regardless, a lot of my problems with her in that position have been soothed and I'll probably be a lot more likely to take that path in my pre-Trespasser "canon" playthrough.

She knew. She says he's not what she expected and the pause means she knows he's a fake. She hid the truth to keep the facade going, just like not telling people the Inquisitor was not sent by Andraste.

Only of he continues to take lyrium, if he stop he is fine. The lyrium withdrawl is completely retconned.
