Kinda hard to do combat with only 1 arm.
Unless you're a mage... I guess?

Solas says he will do it EVEN if it kills everyone. There is no proof his plan will kill everyone, but it can happen but he simply does not care because of his strong guilt because the current state of the elves is HIS fault. Solas has always been unstable because of his guilt.
Does he say this in a super tight relationship with the Inquisitor and maybe his previous fellows in the Inquisition? Especially in romance?
We can make a mechanical arm instead.

**** like this is why i cant ever support full mage freedom. So after he wipes out everyone he will have guilt of that and will try to wipe out the next organic civilization and so the cycle continues. He is as insane as the blasted reapers.

A DA4 heavily about Tevinter, Dwarves, and Qun.. yeah. Get ready for more mechanical stuff than ever before. Inquisition siege engines against the Wardens will be laughable to compare.

As I recall, Varric knows a certain someone with a proclivity for engineering, no?
Also! Varric is viscount now! How fricking sweet is that?

So is it more a statement of conviction than a "this might actually happen" kind of thing? Because that seems a little less pants-on-head ridiculous, at least (after all, his actions with Corfigtreeus could have killed everyone, too, but it's not like he tried to make it happen that way).
I think I saw something about Cassandra wedding, or at least the strong implication that she is interested and will do it ASAP when it is appropriate.
So there are multiple romances that get it yet the one I was hoping would doesn't. ![]()

As Bioware's intent. A fully free mage can be right and understandable from many points of view, but it always continues that a fully free mage can, and may, completely effing wreck all of Thedas, whereas a non-mage cannot (at least until/unless Thedas gets WMDs). Oh crap, Qunari.

Oh well. I'm romancing Iron Bull and would love a marriage, but its not gonna happen.

His guilt? He does not say it but it's clear as day that his guilt is destroying him. This is a guy who created the fade to imprison the "elven gods" however doing this ruined the elves and he knows this, he admits it. He made a massive mistake that cost his own people everything. Not even love can save him from his guilt. In fact love probably makes IT worse.
there should be a post-trespasser speculation thread... but really, I'm curious about
.... is it sure that the Inquisitor lose his hand? Or just a theory? ![]()

It's gone.

Bianca can make us a new arm that is also a weapon. ![]()

Ash the Inquisitor.
You sure you want to know the main reveal of the DLC? Well ok then?
Warning! Massive spoilers!
Spoiler
Seriously?
Iron Inquisitor. Time to wreck Tevinter.
I'm confused. Does the Inquisitor lose the whole arm or just the hand? Hand is manageable with prosthetics - maybe join Isabela in the pirate life with a hook hand? Whole arm missing? Well, that's more complicated...
I want a sixth Blight though!
I just hope if/when we ever get around to it, it's a double-header, literally, with the remaining two Archdemons both at the helm. This is our last chance for it...
Nah, this fits with what the various hints regarding Solas's plans were during the main game. Especially the line from Cole(during Solas-Cole banter, post Solas break up) about "if she is real, then they are all real and that changes everything." Absorbing Mythal did not change his views or his plans.I think Mythal's vengeance is partly why he's not thinking straight. Shouldn't have merged with the crazy witch.

Looks like the elbow down is gone.

Well Bioware could follow a thread of having us captain of a ship, sure.
Isabella in MP DLC could be a hint then.
Just speculationz.
Seriously?
Spoiler
Hes a reaper in a mage form who due to his guilt will keep destroying civilizations to bring the past back.
