I'm downloading patches 3 through 10, then the free multiplayer add-ons, as well as Black Emporium, and then I will buy Jaws, Descent, and Trespasser all at once then play them in order.

 

Hopefully everything works. I know the exploits are gone though.

Aaaaaand of course Origin is messing up. You guys need to update Origin so that you can add items to a cart and then pay for them all at once.

I installed it, now the game crashes at launch. Am i lonely in this?

I'm downloading Trespasser now, so I haven't tried to launch the game yet. What kind of crash is it? Does it give an error message, or does it just close the program to the desktop?

It starts loading the main menu, but it suddenly crashes to desktop without any error message...I never had this problem before, so i assume it is caused by the new patch/dlc

Most definately. You have a difficult road ahead of you, I'm sorry to say. Maybe you can go to a support forum here and they can answer you. Otherwise, you'll have to deal with EA Tech Support, which probably won't be able to help you. I feel bad for you.

 

I myself am having a different problem. Origin says it can't verify my card information when trying to purchase Descent. The SAME card info it just verified twice for Jaws and Trespasser!

Well, since i used mods in the past i tried deleting the patch folder and running a repair....hope it will fix this....I also opened a ticket, but my hopes of getting a game advisor in chat are almost 0..

Mine crashed fairly early in the DLC as well. Basically I got to a loading screen and it was just stuck there for so long that I had to shut the game down via task manager.

You're not missing out. The dlc is riddled with crashes and freezing loading screens.

CTD every time I try to start the DLC. I haven't made it past the war table.

I can't go through the first Eluvian you see. It gets stuck on the loading screen every time.

Yea DLC seems broken on PC. Crashes if you talk to vivienne, endless loading screen after first mirror, for some crashing when they open their inventory.

Glad i didn't buy it yet. I will wait with it until there is some kind of patch out for it, and it all works properly.

Sorry to read about all the crashes. I myself am playing through Jaws now. It's pretty challenging so far. I'm level 25 human mage on nightmare. When I'm done with that I will try to buy Descent again. If that card still doesn't work, I will have to try a different one. By the time I'm done with both DLCs there will probably be a new patch for Trespasser. I hope.

 

Also, I want everyone to know that I feel your pain. That sick feeling in your gut when technology doesn't work. When you think you wasted your money. It's not a good feeling. Hang in there people.

I've tried so many things people have recommended, still no dice. But yeah Jaws is pretty challenging. I found it to be more challenging than Descent for sure. Now if only I could play Trespasser...

I have Trespasser on my chore table, but I won't even test it out until I'm done with Jaws and Descent (when Origin stops refusing my money). Good luck ebevan91. With so many people having the same problem they're probably going to patch it post haste.

Regarding me, it was a mod related problem. After i deleted the patch folder and repaired, all worked fine. Now i'm playing it, and i still haven't encountered any crash or freezing...
