Only bug I really encountered so far, anyone else have this problem?

 

Seems no spa day for me. I even tried lowest graphic settings and it still crashes.

 

No mods, though I did use the wardrobe to switch to the black outfit.

Nope. Have you been able to progress through the first eliminate though? My game just sits on a black loading screen there, nothing seems to fix it even repairing the game and all dlcs. I'm on pc as well.

Have experienced this crash as well, just running a repair through Origin and will try again once thats done

I'm suspecting it's a setting, like windowed vs full screen. Thomas are you using an AMD/ATI video card as well?

People over at reddit are laso reporting this problem. On pc talking to vivienne crashes the game.

Yeah, I've got an AMD Radeon R9 290 series

Yeah I'm on a R9 290 series as well. But Nvidia reported the same problem, some people think it might be related to the patch number?

No mine happens when Leliana is divine.

I got this as well. Try going to your "patch" folder, open package.mft in notepad and change the version to 12 (if it is 11). This got me past the crash, but disables any mods. I've had crashes later on as well and this works every time (reason why I have to do it over and over is that I revert back to version 11 to get my mods working again (need them eyebrows)).

So just to circle back, when you said no mods did you mean you had removed your mods and tried? 

 

Because the solution on reddit was related to mods, but your original post said "no mods"

I personally did have mods installed prior to the dlc then uninstalled them.

 

I've deleted both the patch & merged patch folders and have run a repair.

 

Will update if this fixes the Vivienne issue, as well as the CTD on interacting with the Eluvian

 

EDIT/UPDATE: Turns out by doing that I've broken my game files "This save was created on a newer patch, please update".

 

Attempted to update and nothing seems to download or work.

 

Reinstall?

I just changed the patch version to 12 and that worked. Try that.

Ahh, wish I'd rechecked this thread earlier then.

 

Just reinstalling it now. Will update on whether this fixes when its installed.

You dont need to uninstall anything. Change the patch version, move past the crashing part and change the version back to reenable mods. No need reinstalling mods either. So far I've had crashes when talking to Vivienne, when browsing shops and inventory and entering

the open area behind the first eluvian. After moving past that area I reverted the version and had no problems until I had to enter that same area again. And that is where Ive stopped playing for today, so I dont know if there will be more crashes later on.

Edit: Just want to point out that I think you need to close the game before editing package.mft

I never saw this problem, but I had an extreme lag problem in the second section (keeping spoilers as slight as possible). All conversations had over a minute of downtime between making my selection and the character actually speaking. Climbing ladders, opening chests, and the like had similar delays.

Is it at 12? It seems that's really the number that works.

Having this issue as well.  Crashing whenever I talk to Vivi.  Damn my need for good eyebrows.
