You can find a store in the Crossroads that sells a shield called "The Best Defense", in addition being able to buy it's schematic (it's Tier 3, so not as good as the shields from Jaws of Hakkon or Descent, but still kinda cool looking).

You can also obtain a schematic for a new Tier 3 staff called "Encore" (looked pretty decent, plus it had slots to add a grip and blade which is always nice).

The ring ("The Hand That Cuts", +20% crit dmg bonus) from the "Taken Shape" set: as you enter the 1st eluvian, take a right towards the eluvian you can see from the entrance (1st time you enter the Crosroads, this is where the main quest leads), but instead of going through it, go up the few steps to the right of the statue into the corridor behind it and through the eluvian there. It leads into a library. As you click on the chest, arcane horrors appear.

The new armor looks ridiculous on Qunari. And it looks so femine, even on males.

Warning: Does not look good on malequisitors.

True. I hated the way that this made males look like skinny matchstick figures. Not gonna use it for the guys, but it looks great on my female dalish rogue.

Just got that armour... really does not look good on a male inquisitor at all. Looks like it gives him the female body shape, it's all sorts of wrong

My male Inquisitor is ready to fight his way through anything wearing this extremely protective and intimidating Heavy Armor.

And here i thought it couldn't get any worse. It would have been less than an hour of work to review all the models ingame but Bioware doesn't bother anymore. They fixed most issues on the Qunari dlc but broke the male versions.I can hardly understand how those thing happen over and over again. If you don't have the time, money or manpower to test that dlc stuff ingame, well then better stop making and dlc all together. This is unaceptable!

Actually, I would be careful making statements like this.  One can't be sure from the fact that it turned out this way that no one reviewed it.  They might have just reckoned that no one would actually put Thom in an outfit like that, so it wasn't a good use of zots to proportionalize it correctly.  Getting armour to look right proportionally for all races is a lot of work.  It's going to be even more work to adjust each set for the individual proportions of every companion.  It does show, though, that male characters tend to have more variety in the body shapes, doesn't it?

Put that new armor on The Iron Bull... it is kind of horrifying; it is real body horror when you can put on armor that twists your body into its desired shape.

Body type swap aside.

THIS, is their idea of enhancing heavy armor that was lacking in this game?

Are you seriously telling me that the only armor Trespasser brought, was this?

There's another weapon schamatic (IIRC "Brand") for catching the harlequin four or five times. I think it's a 1hs but for some reason is in my Staff tab.

Also kind of miffed the armors don't get the set bonus ability even though if you read the note when you loot the chest it suggests they should.

Seems like a reoccurring pattern for mesh problems with DLC armor. I wish there had been a unique appearance for light, medium and heavy schematics for this set. It makes me wonder if mesh problems were a reason for the lack of armor variety in DAI vanilla.

I see where you're coming from, but it seems like game development involves a lot of trade-offs, and if Bioware followed the 100% or nothing philosophy, the game would be shorter and with less variety.  At the same time, I really admire the design philosophy of CD:PR, with their free DLC post-release for the Witcher 3 and plenty of bug fixes.  They accepted that no release is perfect but did their best to improve it post-release, and looked for no money to do it.  I think an approach like that would have earned Bioware a lot of good will.  For instance, they could have released the cosmetic DLCs to fans for free rather than charging extra for them.

I have seen the harlequin, but idk how to catch him to unlock the schematics, can you clarify how to do this. Also for everybody not pleased with the armor schematics you get from the dlc i found another armor schematic called Griffon Mail by doing a War Table-Op.

Edit: Can you get the Qunari Full Plate armor?

You swear loudly at the screen for an hour or so and then you get it.

Seriously, you have to spot the harlequin and sneak up behind them. You may or may not need to interact, I spammed it like an idiot. There's a lot of places they can turn up and some those places sneaking up on them seems to be impossible. It seems they stay put for a good ammount, maybe indefinately if you don't get too close but once you are close, even behind them, you have to be quick. Reloading resets them somewhere else and when you reload they will be somewhere.

It's pretty annoying but it's worth it for the rewards... just.

I think sleeveless armor looks ridiculous. It almost made sense on Dorain (being a mage), but he still looked kinda ridiculous. it makes no sense on a rogue or warrior.

My suspension of disbelief doesn't require perfect, real-world-esque armor, but this was kind of over the top.

So far I've only found schematics for Calpernia's armor, a bow that looks the exact same as the old bows, and a few neat items form hidden shops and treasure hunts.

I'd like to believe there's more to be found, but sadly I have a feeling I'll be disappointed. :(

Where's that awesome Qunari plate armor?

The awesome golden elven armor?

The awesome bronze honor guard armor worn by the knights protecting the Divine?

Yes, that's plaideweave tinting, please don't ask...

I would have preferred a schematic for Solas's endgame armour.

Without the fur though, that was a horrible addition. Give us Abelas armor.
