I can't start the DLC. I can get in to main area, but the instant I access either char or inventory I freeze and have to reboot.

I can play anything before Trespasser though. So may just do that. Solas is on my hit list anyway. Right from Haven he annoyed the hell out of me!

Have mods with the schematics so I can gear up and play without concerning myself too much.

Maybe next year or two BW will get their act together and produce something that works first time. Not holding my breath though.

Are you using the smooth/realistic hair mod? Remove or disable it iff you are. Having it in while playing Trespasser causes the exact char/inventory/abilities screen freeze up you mention.

I think I ran into a bug. I didn't want to open a new thread, so I thought that this was good place to post it. Here's my problem: I want to leave the Deep Roads. I'm on my way out and made it to a room with a single explosive barrel but I can't interact with it. I assume that it needs to explode so my party gets an open passageway. I'm on PC (on a laptop, to be more precise). When I right click on the explosive charge nothing happens. When I left click on it nothing happens. When I cast a spell on it nothing happens. Here's a picture:

Spoiler

I had ReShade and SweetFX installed. I took both down now but it makes no difference. It's a bit frustrating because my Inquisitor will be stuck forever in the Deep Roads if I can't open the passageway. It would be nice if someone could confirm if this is the only exit. And if so, what can I do now?

On a slightly unreleated note, I also had the same glitch that mel10105 described.

I haven't seen anyone complain about this glitch yet, but has anyone had the problem where you aren't interacting with things immediately? Every time I try to interact with something nothing happens for about 3 mins. This also is happening with experience on fights. I'll kill something but won't receive the experience until a few minutes later and sometimes it still looks like there is a fight going (spells flying around and the kind spark thing you get when you hit something). I can walk around during that time and continue fighting, but it is just making some of the quest really annoying. Anyone know a fix?

P.S. I am on PC, no mods, and no one knows lunge slash in my party

edit: and now it is kicking me out of game saying i "lost connection with this session"

EDIT: To answer my own question, this worked for me: I loaded an older save game. When  I came to the room again, I immediately attacked the barrel, even before I started attacking the Qunari. The barrel exploded, took some of the Qunari out and cleared the passageway. Still, I think it's a bit annoying for those who experience the same bug and maybe have to re-play the whole map.

Okay, I'm experience another bug.

Be aware of the following spoiler!

Did anyone else have this problem? I loaded an older save game and I tried for at least 7 times now but with no success.

Man, this DLC is really quite buggy for me. And I had zero problems with the main game.

I had that problem the first time I played Trespasser, didn't have it the second time though (after the patch). I think I go through it the first time by interacting with the wheel again (as in right click to start turning the wheel, then right click again when I want it to stop).

Thanks, but that didn't help. But loading the game again for the 10th time did :) .

I'm on PC, and my game never crashed, but once I went through the very first Eluvian it kept freezing right when my character took two steps out. When I tried to reload any earlier Trespasser save (didn't try any Skyhold saves) it would freeze on the loading screen with the cards. I do run mods, so I disabled almost all of them (one at a time, starting with the usual suspects-- boy was that tedious), but that didn't seem to make a difference, it would still freeze at that load screen. I never had the "no cooldown" upgrade for Lunge and Slash selected, so that didn't seem to be the problem, either.

What worked for me was repairing my game and turning off anti-aliasing. I'm reinstalling my mods one at a time to see if it holds up (and making notes of which ones seem okay as I go), but so far so good!

You're in tac cam, right? Switch out of tac cam to turn the wheel.

This behavior's existed since long before Trespasser. In tac cam, characters do interactions (wheel turning, reviving, disrupting rifts) until they're interrupted by an enemy. All the wheels in the base game needed to be turned "all the way", so it probably wasn't as noticeable. Characters turned the wheel, then either got interrupted by enemies or reached the end of the wheel.

My game has always been laggy, but since I've started playing Trespasser, the lag has increased drastically. There is extended periods of silence in conversations with npc (even after selecting a conversation option), the game keeps switching characters at whim (except when I want it to switch to my Inquisitor), and it has been crashing more than a college frat boy on his friends' couches. I disabled Lunge and Slash and removed it, and I play in windowed mode.
