First of all, I'm not happy at all to lose a limb but I've been thinking... don't we have an engineer genius as one of our friends? Dagna could easily tinker something and create a new mechanical limb for the Inquisitor. I figure a mage would had no problem moving some of the fingers with magic, unless it's a lyrium generated mechanical arm that you'd have to attach to your brain or something... Besides that headcanon, I figure there are plenty of ways to replace the missing arm. If anything else fails, the Inquisitor could always go Captain Hook or Barret Wallace mode, replacing their limb with some sort of weapon. I imagine it could be something like a crossbow based on Bianca's model... Don't mind me, I'm just overthinking.

If you choose to become a Red Jenny, the epilogue slide suggests that your Inquisitor indeed replaced the limb with a crossbow.

I didn't think we'd lose it at the elbow.  That kinda sucks - would have preferred just the hand.

I am more annoyed the loss of the hand was 100% off screen. Couldn't they have had something else? And did Solas take the mark from us? I don't think it makes very much sense.

Not the best ending- unless there's a sequel where I punch through Solas' chest and rip out his heart with my indestructible Terminator like hand.

No, the mark is killing you by the end its almost consuming your whole arm going by the animation. No matter what you think of the bald elf he had to take it to save you.

It doesn't surprise me and I wouldn't get your hopes up for the Inquisitor returning. Removing the arm was a very deliberate move on Bioware's part, removing both the thing that makes the Inquisitor so unique and reducing the likelihood of them returning to an adventuring lifestyle. All making it easier to excuse their absence in DA4.

Though the Inquisitor's line at the end indicated that the Inquisitor will likely end up sponsoring the new protagonist from afar (Possibly through Dorian)

Losing the arm happens right before the final scene and then the credits roll. Everything else happens with both arms.

That's exactly what I thought watching that scene. It was Bioware's way to tell all those who hope the inquisitor could be returning in a future game (if there will be a future game)..."There you go. No glowing mark, chopped arm, so forget about it... next protagonist step in , please."

All in all, in my opinion this was the best DLC for DAI, the others were okayish, I would say. Descent was interesting, but unnecessarily stretched with collectibles and huge health bars. JoH felt detached, due to the little interaction with your companions and the rest of the game, but it had interesting lore and characters.

 

Trespasser was perfect or close to perfect, DLC-wise, for me. Plenty of character interaction, a lot of lore and closure and fights were not 'hard' due to healthbars and endless spawning, but due to mechanics, which I usually prefer. There were also some nice and variating collectibles and puzzles. I really enjoyed the ending slideshow, although I would have preferred if you could click or 'press a button' to continue to the next slide.

Maybe since the Mark was connected to the fade your characters arm starts appearing back but in like a faded way (just something I thought of)
