I never approved biowares stance in Dragon age universe having different protaganist but its getting out of hand now, because even after trespassers ending hawke, warden and inquisitor none of their storys are completley over. The thought of once again in a new game introducing a new character it gets to messy and one who is not connected to recent events, it feels once again alienated.

Looking forward to the conclusion in DA:4 with new hero and previous 3 heroes as the other 3 for the final battle  :D ... epic ...

Man that slideshow zipped past, I barely had time to look at the art after reading before the next bit came through

At best, Inquisitor will simply be a background character who helps, maybe a small cameo but they will not be playable. A cutscene with them rocking that crossbow would be cool.

They could just have the inquisitor speak through Dorians medallion (If the next game is set in Tevinter that is). That way we could sort of get a small cameo without even importing inky's looks. But then again, having two voices for the inquisitor complicates things...

I noticed that as well!

However, I absolutely ADORED Cassandra reading Varric's book through the ending credits.

I am confused about the loss of the arm as well...did Solas take it? Did the inquisitor chop it off?

My brain is broken......

Really liked the ending, my Inquisitor Lavellan disbanded the inquisition like a boss..lol

Also i can totally see the next DA with a new character supported by the ex-inquisitor and company.

By the way, just wondering how you stop someone who can literally kill people with a blink of his eyes

Solas stopped the anchor from growing then i guess the inquisitor cut his arm off (or maybe it just fell...lol)

If Solas can turn people into stone within a second, who is be able to stop him?

Shale, she's already made of stone and possibly in Tevinter already.

Coincidence? /tinfoil

I do wonder though at the end we are chasing Solas to Tevinter and I do wonder how the next PC will fit into the Inquisitor/Solas Arc I hope they at least make an effort on this they cant completely take The Inquisitor out and shoehorn the next guy in.I would like them to bring back The Inquisitor in DA4 as a Mentor type of character for the new PC like Anderson/Duncan was that way the Arc could get more closure.

I'd really rather they not do this for a few reasons. First is I don't want to have multiple character creator menus again, second is that having the former PC play the Anderson/Duncan role is just going to drive the character into the ground in an unsatisfying way. I'd much rather the character just stay out of sight than get dragged in and ruined.

Damn I forgot about Shale going to Tevinter. But turning people into stone seems unnecessary if Solas can just control you through the  of Sorrows...probably, if you drank.

Yeah I really don't want another Hawke situation. If I can't play as my past PC please for the love of god keep them off the screen. Please. :(

Screw that, The Hawke cameo was great. I want more cameos.

As a brief cameo, I actually think the Inquisitor could work.  Like, maybe they show up when we're closing in on Solas and talk to him.  The dialogue could be based on whether they decided to try to redeem or kill him.

I personally see allot of good points everyone is pointing out. As far as the teaser at the end to me it seems as though our next hero will be from tevinter. I can see the inquisitor being mentor/advisor much like Cullen and the ladies were to our new hero . although you could argue solas would still know too much having the inquistor as a advisor. Its hard saying but with their previous relationship I see the inqusitor playing a larger role than Hawke did in this series as Cory was only a dlc for dragon age 2

Not the best ending- unless there's a sequel where I punch through Solas' chest and rip out his heart with my indestructible Terminator like hand.

Add some magic and it's done. May need a glove too.

I think they did a decent job explaining why involving another protagonist is for the best.  Leliana said it herself: Solas knows you.  He predicts your moves, and counters them to stay ahead of you.  I'm satisfied enough that my Lavellan made it clear that she was going to track him down - and I think the next protagonist will be utilized by our Quizzie's to do the job on her/his behalf.  Hopefully when Solas is found we get a cameo from our Quizzie's (a la Hawke in the Adamant questline), and their fate can be decided from there.

I know that's not to everyone's taste, but I'M hoping for a Quizzie cameo.  I think they did a good job with Hawke, all things considered, and I really don't want Solas to be addressed without my Lavellan being directly involved.  Might be tricky wrestling control away if we romanced him, though...

Completely agree. The romance between Solas and Lavellan just doesn't seem properly finished. I'm hoping against hope that Lavellan will be allowed to be with Solas in some way, in the end. Even if she has to join him. Just SOMETHING.

Speaking of which, this is the first time a villain in the DA series has been humanized so much. The Solas romance is so much worse(better) than Morrigan's or Ander's. I really do hope there's an opportunity for Lavellan to change his mind in DA4; I wouldn't be able to kill him.  :(

Is the Inquisitor still bound to Solas, does the mean he will be immortal like the elves protecting the well?

What hte hell, though? You go from one scene where Solas does some magical **** to your arm, and the next scene you're back at the council and you have no arm. I thought it was a bug!! There's literally zero indication that this is what's happening to you. Unless somehow I completely missed something, your arm doesn't fall to the ground or something like that, and there's no exposition explaining your arm being amputated. You just...strut into the council with one arm.

I can't be the only one that thought an extremely unfortunate and untimely bug occurred.

The Inquisitor will be like Charlie from Charlie's Angels, calling all the shots through Dorian's message crystal. Only to show up in the end with a gnarly mechanical arm and eye patch say some cheesy line about how good it is to see an old friend before letting him inadvertently destroy himself.

I am glad I didn't have to see my arm hacked off. I think it was pretty powerful to see it first in the council.

I would like to speak to Solas again before I die in whatever fashion. We were good friends once and if I succeed at redemption, I want that moment as the former Inquisitor.

I am curious if there will be a book or comic between this game and the next with additional story on Titans or Grey Wardens.

My canon story for Hero of Ferelden was used in my play through and she did the ultimate sacrifice. Is there any mention of the Hero of Ferelden in Trespasser if they did the ritual and lived?

no. the warden's story is essentially done why would they mention it in the conclusion of inquisition?  I do recall there is a slide for Leliana if you romanced her but that's about it.

You forgot that in the ending slide that both HoF and leliana if romanced knew the trouble that was laying up ahead.
