I don't understand why everyone is so giddy about disbanding the Inquisition.

I know for sure that it just won't feel the same when I start a new PT. What is the point of building this organization that is going nowhere?

Hey, saving the world is not nowhere. ^^

But really, what do you do with an organization like that once its purpose is fulfilled? Would they have declared themselves the world police? Founded a new nation? What do you need an organization for that has fulfilled its purpose and doesn't really stand for anything anymore?

Yeah I was adamantly against disbanding the Inquisition so I was glad there were choices to avoid that. I knew the ending would lead to a prelude about Tevinter. However, I didn't expect Solas to be so evil about his plans. Destroy the world...yeah you're not monster and that's not as bad as Cory...insane!

Anyway, loved the DLC even though I was annoyed with Bull's betrayal in my playthrough. I might just redo that section and leave him at the palace so he's there at the end.

I'm also considering doing another playthrough with an inquisitor who romanced Solas. Anyone who did it think it's worth it?

Oh, it very much is in my opinion.

It was okay, there was still no true closure (understandably) but it gives you a few choices about where to take your inquisitor's feelings for him after he reveals his plans. Worth a playthrough if you want potentially more drama with him in DA4.

Oh yes. It's incredibly sad, of course, but then "incredibly sad" pretty much sums up everything about Solas, ever. ^^

If you keep the inquisition together, what's the difference in the sliders? Do they still go about doing their own things or does everyone stay together? I'm really torn about what to do on my 2nd character.

About that...

It's the same. Little difference for your Inquisitor, but not a lot.

In the video at the end: If you keep them together they all wear uniforms (at the wartable). And Cassandra & Leliana say that we are more powerful like this, but it's also a bit more dangerous (cause of Solas Spys).

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll try another playthrough even though my Solas romance Inquisitor needs better gear to survive...

Haven't played this yet, but it's refreshing to hear people actually LIKED the ending to this DLC.

A positive reaction to an ending in a BW game hasn't happened on the BSN in many moons.

If Sera likes you, she'll offer

When does this happen? Is it for those not in a romance with her? I dont think I ever got this option and Sera was over the moon about her Inky...

edit: seems I dont get the full convo when I just quote. Asking about joining red jenny.

its when you first get there and talk to her for the first time. I didn't get this on my solavellan though, as her and sera had a major disagreement about elven gods and I don't think Sera liked her much after that.

Then my guess is that it is for those not in a romance with her. My conversation with her

Spoiler
Dont think I had an option about joining red jenny. At least Sera did not bring it up on her own.

I think the Inquisitor will return in the next game. Probably something like Hawke in DAI.

Hey guys anyone thinks Sandal's dialogue in DA 2 is in reference to Solas and his now mission to tear down the veil and release the old elven gods ::

One day the magic will come back - all of it. Everyone will be just like they were. The shadows will part and the skies will open wide. When he rises, everyone will see.

Nothing quite says "**** you" to player choices like cutting off the Inquisitor's hand and thus removing what makes him/her what s/he is.

It's the devs basically breaking the 4th wall and telling you "This is how we want the story to go. The Inquisition must be disbanded."

Hey, saving the world is not nowhere. ^^

Fixing problems in general was its shtick, not just dealing with Corypheus.

Honestly, if killing this one guy is all there is to it then there was no need to build an entire organization that spans southern Thedas and beyond.

Did Hawke have an Inquisition? No. Neither did any heroes from other fantasy games. "But there are hundreds of red templars!". Well, that's pretty common. Killing countless bad guys is what heroes do.

Yeah I thought the ending was strong compared to past Bioware games. I think they got the message after ME3's horrid ending...

I had hoped I would keep my powers and the Inquisition but I'm still an immensely powerful mage and have a secret Inquisition working under Cassandra (Victoria). There's possibilities for replacing my hand with something more magical if they utilize the Inquisitor much in DA4 (which they should).

I was really not sure where to go with disbanding or not. But after reading people's comments I did agree with disbanding, at least on my Solalavellen play through.

And here is why:

1. I think keeping the inquis going means you're more likely to kill Solas (or try) rather than redeem him, simply because you'll have a huge organisation wanting to Solas's head for threatening all of Thedas.

2. Obviously Fereldan wants you to bugger off. This did peeve me off but it is understandable, the inquisition is HUGE and is not a force to be reckoned with. Whilst we know our own doings are for the greater good, other nations don't know the inquisitor and is fearful they will become too power hungry and end up doing bad. Also the other nations will be powerless against the inquisition.

3. The inquis had enough of this s***.

The inquisition is trying to bring peace, and them still being around is doing the opposite and causing more tensions and possibly wars.

But for my other characters I'm again not sure. It's a tricky choice.

Bio ware should reconsider Trespasser to be the last. The threat of Solas should be concluded with an expansion, along with new specializations. As for the missing arm, a crossbow? Really? Dagna could have made the Inquisitor an new arm which can place runes or sigils in for different abilities for combat. That's just my opinion on the matter.

Cullen stays as a military commander of the Inquisition, opposing to him leaving with his faithful mabari. :) Dunno about an ending where he is romanced though. All other slides are the same, I think.

Am I the only one who really hates Arl Teagan? That guy became a total douche in inquisition, hell I didn't like him already since he never really rewarded you for saving redcliffe in origins unless you saved EVERYONE and even then it was only a simple helmet, but whatever I guess he was just tight with his coin. But wanting to disband the inquisition who helped his people in the hinterlands and the rest of fereldan?
That's just not cool. Every origins playthrough from now on I'm going to let the undead sack redcliffe, the ungrateful twit doesn't deserve my help.

Hopefully we have a way for the inquisitor to get back at him in DA4 for making us downsize/disband the inquisition when the world needs it the most.

If Solas can turn people into stone within a second, who is be able to stop him?

Well if anyone were to swoop down from directly above him he could turn them to stone but the weight would still break every bone in the stringy little elf's body.

And that is why swooping is bad.

I agree that Dagna should give the Inquisitor something equally powerful as the mark. Who knows, I had a cool idea that the hand would come back over time by itself as ghostly and tied to the fade which would be cool.

i don't understand something though...Why did Bioware let the Inquisitor alive at the end if she/he is gonna die regardless ? Because the anchor will kill the inquisitor anyway

Maybe so that IQ could pass all the knowledge and power to the next protagonist?
