Too much limitation. You should have known the risks of buying it on an older system.

Then Bioware shouldn't have released it on the older systems at all. If anything these people are owned a full refund.

From the start they said it would not come to the older generations I believe. And anyway, it's a DLC wich immediately make it an optional purchase. Personally? I say we should blame this on their tendency of making important story related events as DLCs.

And because of that these people won't have closure for their stories . It's f***ing unfair.
Yet they still wanted that 59.99 for it at launch .

Seems fair given it probably took way more work to get it to work on the old clunkers like the 360/PS3.

Never said it wasn't unfair. But tbf it was an evident risk to buy a game on older generations when the new were there. This is indeed a sad outcome, but one we could see coming from miles.

No, they never said from the start that dlc or patch support would be cut off. The rage generated should have been a big hint.

Nah . If anything they should have worked even harder. Then we wouldn't have all of those glitches.

Please, keep a level head about this. Electronic Arts are pushing in their backs for release and coding a game is hard. They also might not have the rights to release some bug fixes, like the Conrad Verner one in ME2. This issue is highly complicated. As much as the lack of older consoles release is... Disappointing, they did what they could do, given the circumstances and the situation.

Now I'm as disappointed and frustrated that DLC support got cut off for the older consoles. I happen to own one of those old gen consoles and wish I could get Descent and Tresspasser..but I have been noticing a disturbing trend on my copy of Inquisition for the 360 where far too often, usually in fight scenes, the game locks up. So I have to end up shutting down my console and rebooting then pick up the game where my last save game had it. So I'm starting to understand why Bioware stopped DLC support for the older gen consoles..there are many instances where the base game can barely run without incident on the old consoles so the newer DLC might have problems too if they could run at all. So I was once upon a time very angry at Bioware/EA for releasing Inquisition for 360 and PS3 then cutting off DLC support after Jaws of Hakkon but I understand more now so my anger has cooled. This just gives me stuff to look forward to when I am finally able to get a next gen console. Honestly the game is ungodly long just with the base game and the Jaws of Hakkon DLC. So for now, that will have to suffice for me. Might have been better in hindsight if they had just kept Inquisition for the XBox One, PS4, and PC to begin with but..they didn't. At least I can say once more than I understand now, from experiencing all the problems with Inquisition on the older consoles why they did what they did.

Everyone that got the game on PS3 and XB360 should have foreseen not having the same features and treatment as XBONE, PS4 and PC. The systems are almost 10 years old, Their is only so much them old consoles can do.

The first part is right. The second is nonsense. They got the game they paid for, whether DLC is released for their platform or not.

When I has my PS3, games, accessories, etc. I sold it all, preemptively to pre-order my PS4 prior to its release.
Selling when I did, fetched me a fair amount of coin to pre-order my PS4 and then some.
That did leave me without a console for a few monthes. (Which I was on a major ME bender at the time, so I def was having withdrawals.)
But once the 4 and Bone dropped the values (naturally) dropped on the previous gen consoles.
But that left me with a PS4 with a VERY limited amount of game selection. And those that were available were glitched to hell and back.
To make matters worse,
Sony re-hashed ps3 titles for the 4 and released them a FULL price.
So I ended up buying the same games, twice, at full price!
(Which IMO is why sony doesn't want backwards compatibility.)
But if I had it to do over again, I would've waited (hindsight is always 20/20).
The 4 is a completely different animal now, compared to its orig release.
It was only a matter of time before Dev's dropped last gen consoles.
Just save your coin and upgrade when you can.
I agree it isn't fair but it was inevitable.

Because it would blow up your 360.
This was announced a while back before Descent came out.
The last-gen console probably can't even handle the new ability upgrade toggling system.

I have to agree with some of the others, you should have seen this coming.
That's not to say that them releasing it on 360 and ps3 wasn't completely underhanded and unfair, but people have to realise that publishers and console companies are only out for profit.
EA wanted to make as much money as possible on release so they offered it to both gens.
Why would they care that you're pissed off now? It's nearly been a year since DA:I droped and you've already paid full price for it. (and no doubt JOH)
Now that Trespasser's been released for current gen only, it's going to do one of two things:
****** off a small demographic who will dig their heels in and refuse to buy a new console on principle Or get people to give in, not only buying a new console but also having to rebuy the game and its add ons again.
It sucks, it really does and I totally sympathise as new hardware is never cheap but we had about 3 years notice before DA:I's launch and around 2 years notice on the next gen consoles.
What was stopping you from putting by a little money every week/month or so to save up and buy them both at the same time like I and others did?
And as a bonus, you still get to keep your old console without having to rebuy all your favorite games.

Tell me people who support dropping last-gen, mind explaining why Bioware is continually trying to hide this piece of information practically everywhere? They never stickied the dlc support drop thread and it flew into obscurity. They put the freaking patch support thread in the MP section only and proceded to then close that thread so it will definitely be forgotten.
They didn't even bother to put the drop of patch support anywhere else on their site. Not on their website, twitter, facebook, etc. Just look at their facebook page; it's filled with people asking when Trespasser is coming to last-gen. There is no reason for never stickying those threads unless they wanted to hide that information in order to screw over unknowing last-gen owners who didn't know about the drops. This thread alone confirms that most people didn't know

You do realize that there are these things called unforseen events that make it so people can't buy. For instance, a poster wrote that he did save money to buy a next-gen console but emergency cancer treatment meant he had to spend that money for his treatment and as a result had to get the last-gen version seeing as how Bioware NEVER said that dlc or patch support would ever be dropped beforehand, and they advertised that apart from graphics and less npcs, the last-gen versions would be the same as the next-gen versions. They even released jaws and avvar spoils on last-gen so there was ZERO indication that last-gen support would be magically dropped?
Why does everyone here assume that everyone who bought the game on last-gen just didn't want to buy a next-gen console or could easily save money like nothing? Have any of you heard of empathy.

We do, we're just fed up with the constant complaining as we're not BioWare but just forumers.
