confident that Bioware would deliver a game that was superior in every way shape and form to the origional.
You live in fantasy land.
And I suppose you can do better?
I was talking about the OP's expectations, but, let's be hypothetical for a moment.
I'm a college student majoring in computer science specializing in software engineering. I'm going straight through for my master's of science in software engineering after I finish my bachelor's of science in computer science.
Assuming during the next four years of my life I take the time to purchase the "Unreal Development" books available at Books-A-Million and Barnes & Noble, and actually took the time to read them and apply the knowledge gained from them to a software development setting, there is a greater-than-your-average-joe chance of me doing better than the OP at making a video game.
Sure...
Doesn't mean that I could do a better job than BioWare, but I could certainly do a better job than the OP.
Now, would you mind reading what I said originally and not pretending I said something I didn't? Because I'm not whining about the game being 'bad' or 'dissapointing'. I'm telling the OP he has unrealistic expectations.
I hear ya, don't worry about it.
I caught that you weren't whining after i read it three times (where's the damn delete post button??).
I just got annoyed over all those threads bashing this game... over really silly things. No one's perfect after all.
Point me to a game that is without flaws and I'll stand corrected.
Also, apologies if I gave the wrong impression, it wasn't intended that way. :]

Stevie, that made me laugh in a non antagonistic way. If anything, I encourage you to do something along those lines.

If that is your real name, one day I shall proudly proclaim I encouraged you on to your career!
Then probably get pimpslapped in some form of trolling.
... But I'll do it!

If you're looking for a game without flaws, I suggest you try Portal. So far, in my experience with video games, it is the closest to true perfection I have ever seen.
But I agree with your point.

2) Inventory: Ok, I agree that it would have been better to customize your squadmates weapons and armor. I would enjoy being able to tweak them to my liking to make balanced squads.
Weapons and items work just fine and are even more detailed than lastime. Instead of using like 8 items lvl 1-10 you get more items that have more specific effects in ME2. Where was the ability to alter your run speed in ME1, how about improve headshot damage. Between armor and weapon mods there is more ways to make your character unique than ever. Having a vast amount of useless junk items that are basically the same doesn't make for more customization in reality, just the illusion of it.
Universal cooldown is better than the old system. Before, you would save all your powers for a boss or tough enemy and let loose and wait a min for a cooldown. Now you choose the ability tactically given the situation and get to do it again in 10 secs. Also, ammo types are now more tactical. Instead of using the best type for each level, you get to choose based on the situation (sheilds or mech, extra damage and armor, handicapped and disorient the enemy). Combos are still there and more advanced than ever. You just use your squadmates to do a combo. Example, try 2 pulls, 1 in either direction and see what happens.
I am not trying to rip apart your post but I do have a different opinion on most of it. Dont go in expecting everything to be the same and really think about how the new options effect gameplay. I hope you can look past your analysis and enjoy the game. I think what was streamlined was good but I think bioware went a little too far. Some of us like to manage our gear and play with random items. The teamates you cant customize are the worst example of dumbing down IMO. Its like bioware thinks we are too lazy and decided to let that part of the game play itself

Fair enough.
I could point out a few if I ever played the game...
BUT, you want go see me whining over those flaws on a forum... I mean, if you don't like it, put it a side and put up u a shrine for your lost money, but whatever you do, don't bother others who don't want to hear you cry (especially not if others have to f*cking format your OP to making it readable!).
Anyways, now I am whining, but least it ain't about the game in question, so I'm good... I hope! *hides*

Of course you're going to get a lot of opposition to saying negative things about a brand new game. People with weak minds can't discuss their endorphin boosts objectively. If anyone makes fun of their brand new bouncy red ball, they throw a tantrum.
Just wait in three months the endorphins will drop back down, the new game smell will have faded, and they will be all tingly over their next endorphin-rush-favorite-distraction, and then they will be more than willing to discuss ME2's faults.

Because whiners put up endless amounts of threads about the exact same flaws, and whoever isn't too bored to say something can't even spell properly or makes brilliant threads about how much whoever doesn't like ME2 is an idiot.Duckduden wrote...

Like it or not, the OP does have the right to express their opinion. You don't have to agree with it, or like it, but you cannot deny this person's right to speak their mind. Even though they SHOULD keep it to one thread.

Can someone please make a Negative Review sticky thread or something, because I am unbelievably sick of this forum being dominated by people complaining about the game. Each one of you does not need your own thread to state the same gripes over and over, and it's getting more annoying than the people who were trying to spoil the plot before release. You didn't like it? Good for you. Time for you to use your blog on a gaming website and not on the developers social site - we know you want attention but it's gotten beyond redundant.
I totally agree... this place is getting old fast.
