So I just finished Descent that was very...
Star Trekkian... In a good way.

Bigger than me? I find that hard to believe. ![]()
Descent and Trespasser are superfab for lore, and I found they amped up the difficulty a fair amount, albeit I was underlevelled.
If you're a storywhore like myself, you'll definitely enjoy what they do for the game.
And hell, there's fanservice abound in Trespasser, get it for the giggles.
I'm curious, does Trespasser only become available after Corypheus is defeated? I don't like epic story DLC that aren't placed into logical context with the main quest.

Yes.
Yes.
Excellent, I'll have to pick it up when I'm nearing the end of my new playthrough. I was profoundly disappointed with Hakkon's boring plot, HP soak enemies and lack of context. It just felt like an optional area cut from the main game, which it likely was.
Hell I bought it just for one reason, not to spoil anything..which I won't. And I'd buy it again for that one reason.
Still not my favorite DLC, but its worth purchasing. Sort of.
I haven't bought it, but I've seen it on youtube. I'd say its worth getting. When I get a ps4, I will get the game of the year edition
To me it's the best DLC Bioware has ever done so I'd say it's worth it.
since me2 all bioware was good. no exception for me. have not played yet any of inq dlc but i plan to on this playthrough (my second).
not a single dlc dissapointed me

The Shadow Broker and The Citadel would like words with you ![]()
Being serious. It's a world above all the other Dragon Age DLC's, with Descent coming in second. IMO Dragon Age DLC's really haven't been that great, (especially when compared against most of the ME ones) but Trespasser comes pretty darn close to the above two Mass Effect ones emotionally, at least for me anyway. YMMV
The Shadow Broker was the reigning king until Trespasser for me. Citadel had a ton of content but it was meh to me because the tone was completely off from the rest of ME. It practically kills my playthroughs when I get to it. Trespasser has the length, content, story and polish while Shadow Broker and Citadel are lacking some of those various elements.
The worst thing about Trespasser to me is it might be too good to be DLC. The bitter cynic in me might say they tore off the true ending to DA:I and sold it for $15.
My favorite DLC. I really like Trespassers then secondly The Descent for DA lore. I usually play the order JOH, The Descent and then Trespassers.
I'm just gonna tell you that before Trespasser I didn't care too much about my Inquisitor.
I was like....
wut is dis
But then I bought Trespasser and... well... IT CHANGED EVERYTHING 10/10 I CANNOT WAIT FOR DA4.
So...

My favorite DLC of all time.
I think my list of favorite DLC might go like this for top 5:
Tresspasser
Hearts of Stone (Witcher 3)
Citadel
Shadow Broker
Legacy
And just as an aside I feel like ALL of the DA:I DLC are well worth the asking price. They make a great game even greater.
It made me laugh a few times, and I liked the ending. If you''re ever going to get it just buy it at full price because it will likely be ages before EA lets it go on sale and so you can support more such DLC.
9/10, a must buy.
Better made and more consistently interesting than The Descent, it has great cutscenes, excellent voice acting and a very well paced process of finding out certain mysteries. Environments are fun and nice-looking, but none except one are "jawdropping". The Descent and Jaws of Hakkon have, at least for me, more beautiful areas. Then again, this DLC is far more story-focused than the two before, so the focus isn't really meant to be on the areas you can explore but rather on the characters and story. Also, it's quite Elven, so for anyone who likes old elven frescoes and architecture, this dlc should be somewhat of a pipe dream.
Trespasser is a great sendoff for a good game.
9/10 for me, great conclusion to Inquisition while still leaving it open for the next DA.
10/10 brilliant DLC and great end to DAI. Awesome story, visuals and character moments. The new skills, trials for difficulty and items are great fun too. Highly recommended.
Just finished Tresspasser last night and I am trying to figure out what I missed... cause I thought it was really bad.
A series of combat obstacle courses bookended by some solid cutscene material.
Though almost a 10/10 for the closing credits with Cassandra.
One word. Yes.
Yes it is worth it. For the story, the ending, the music. Everything.
Ok that's more than one word. But yes.
