I just got to the exalted council and Teagan said that I put Gaspard on the throne? I actually put Celene/Briala on the throne, so will this affect the DLC going forward?

Did you check the note by Duke Cyril? That should tell you who your ruler is.

That's definetly a bug, Gaspard in my playthrough was actually executed and Briala/Celene were ruling.

I wonder, does this bug only affect people who got Celene/Briala reconciled?

I did. It definitely said Celene and Briala. But then Teagan said Gaspard.

Same thing guize, note said that Briala and Celene were together but Teagan mentioned Gaspard being emperor, he also mentioned exiling the wardens but I didn't. I believe it's only this particular conversation that's bugged, but other than that I think everything's all good since the codex entires are hard coded to the game and world state.
I'm playing on PS4 btw

Same. PC. That's not only dialogue bug. I got a bug from Cassandra too. I'll put it in a spoiler.

I have peace between all three and Teagan still says Gaspard.

So if you put Gaspard on the throne I'm assuming there's no conflict?

Same thing for me. Playing on PC. Celene and Briala reconciled, Celene on the throne, referenced correctly in the codex/note, but Teagan insists Gaspard is Emperor. I think that hat is cutting off blood flow to his brain. Gaspard is stone dead in my game.
Or maybe the Orlesians enjoyed the Tour de Florianne so much that they booted Celene and put Gaspard's box on the throne.

I had this bug as well. I NEVER chose Gaspard for the throne. ![]()
I too chose to reunite Celene and Briala, but was reprimanded by grumpy old Teagan for putting a dead Gaspard on the throne!
![]()
WTH Teagan! I made no such mistake! ![]()
I even went back to the beginning to see if perhaps the note next to Cyril had been wrong, but it said Celene and Briala ruled. No Gaspard.
This bug left a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of the dlc. ![]()

For me the note next to Cyril said something about how stupid fereldans were for thinking they're equals to orlesians. Is that the note you get when you make peace between the tree?

I managed to reconcile all three, with Celene on the throne, Briala back to being her friend, and Gaspard remaining in control of the chevaliers, but Trespasser seems to think that I put Gaspard on the throne. (My reasoning behind that is that they all had valid points, but they were all being stupid, so I called them out on it publicly and hopefully they got the hint that being stupid will lead to more stupid, which is bad, in case that point was lost on them.)
My guess is that this is like the Conrad Verner bug from Mass Effect 2 that always thought you intimidated him, even if you didn't.
Though I don't know how they would be able to lampshade the "who is emperor" bug like they did in Mass Effect 3.

*BUMP*
Getting this problem a month after all these posts ...
No fix in the pipeline?
I think this is should be considered a pretty important issue - it certainly is for me personally.
I can't make myself progress until it is sorted.

But if you check a note near duke Cyril (otlr whats his name) u can read about your actual rulers.
In my playthrough i had Celene and Briala united so in the note it was written that they have arrived to the Council but are too busy with each other in the bedroom

I made Celene, Gaspard, and Briala have a three-way.

Results in Gaspard being the ruler. Gaspard's no good a foreplay. Just foul-play.

Apparently the only options not bugged are Celene alone or Gaspard alone (and maybe Gaspard with Briala?). I've never put Gaspard on the throne but Teagan thought I did in my first two runs. The Inquisitor talking at the end (if you pick the upper left option on what to do with the Inquisition) also has the same bug.
Hope they fix it soon since it kind of ruins the moment when such a mistake occurs. I'd much rather the codex be wrong than the dialogue.

This is only a bug with that one conversation. Your choice is still recorded correctly (in the game and in the Keep).Getting this problem a month after all these posts ...

They are aware of it, but they haven't specifically committed to fixing it. My guess would be that they will correct it simply because visibility for it is so high, but we won't actually know until the patch drops.

Can anyone confirm that Celene alone is not bugged? First time I've read that.

I've seen various playthrough where celene rules alone and the dialogue clearly refers to celene.

A cult so feverently believes in Gaspard that they are convinced he rules from the shadow, even if he was publicly executed by Celene, let's say.

Cool, should give us hope that it's fixable, then. The Conrad bug was unfixable because it couldn't be flagged correctly at all.
