Since this a message board, I will vent.
Sick and tired of wasting time in gold PUGs because of of noobs/ lack of medi use/ high level scorewh***s/ people trying to level up/ whatever? You pick it, I have dealt with it the last few days. I don't know what the problem is. I obviously am not very good either. But, I can carry a wave when needed most of the time. If I wanted only 30k per game, I would keep my butt in silvers. Before I hear people with the snide L2P etc, I try like hell to help anyone out, but I am continually wasting my time in PUGs. Maybe sympathy is what I am after, but after the last few days, I'm almost at my breaking point with this garbage. Just frustrated

After you get good at that go back into those games and if they all die? You know you got it anyways.

 

PuGs are there for carrying and to make everything more "interesting". Don't expect competency.

if you're only getting 30k per game in Gold, I'd say either change kits or learn the kits you are using better

To be honest, I don't pug anymore. It's either horrendous lag, or shitty team mates and scumbags that don't do objectives or gel but are more than happy to nuke spawns on the other side of the map while I stand alone in the area hack. After 1300+ hours, that junk got tedious. So if I'm not invited I generally don't play because I know I'm not really going to enjoy it much.

Once I knew I could solo if everyone else died, the  pugs became a formality. Naturally you'll run into good pugs from time to time and you'll have 18 min gold games that'll make the 24 min gold games worth it.

My recommendation is to play a good singleplayer game because scorewhores will never waste your time there.

 

ME3 is sort of a good singleplayer game. Play some ME2, some DA:O or some Morrowind. These are all excellent choices for someone who doesn't like to deal with silly MP fools.

He might have meant 30k credits?  I'm not sure I followed the comment either.

 

OT:  Pug life is rough man.  These be some mean streets.  Gotta be able to hold yer own!

 

In all seriousness there is no way to win this battle.  Sometimes I send hateful messages to feel better, which sometimes turns into an argument, which sometimes I will magically win and finally convince the guy to help with objectives and wear his damn equipment.

If anyone, I mean anyone drops into my lobby when I am hosting / doing a Slayer run.I don't care if they are all N7 1's w Avenger 1's and all ready up..No equipment / No consumables...I don't care.....enjoy your credits..cuz I enjoyed destroying everything to get them 4 you.....

Naturally you'll run into good pugs from time to time and you'll have 18 min gold games that'll make the 24 min gold games worth it.

those 15 - 18 min games are (often) boring

where is the challenge in these games?

Lag seems to be the biggest problem these days. Just pugged UUG and landed in London collectors. My Valkyrie was getting dropped while in covers. I left.

U can obviously play some relaxing silver, solo gold or any other difficulty, host with setup you R comfortable with.

Complaining about pug might do u some good now, but whats the point ?

 

I must say i had trouble finishing some plat pugs this we, but that was still fun and they obviously all were trying even if very badly/stupidly.

 

I find most pc pug quite ok, and even more often very good than the opposite. Maybe its european times though . And u find very competent player more often than not.

I too find most pugs ok. Most do help with objectives. Problem I find is , not enough collector or Cerberus presets, lobbies not filling up and lag.

I am actually about to become sick..I have drank 4 40 ozs of steel reserve inside of 3 hours..so if I am not hosting..or not in your game..its cuz Im puking...Or if I am inside your game and my character is off in some random corner..its cuz they are puking...Sick must live on...

I meant 30k credits, sorry for the confusion. Wiping early. It's definitely a me problem, I know. I extract probably 95% of time on gold PUGs anyway, I just pulled a NightMan last night and got intoxicated and raged on here before I went to bed, because last game left me aggravated. I do solo quite a bit, just haven't finished gold yet since I tend to get grabbed wave 8,9, or 10. The only problem with scorewhores is when I'm getting destroyed in hacks or escorts, other than that, the more kills for them the better it is for me (team game). Thanks for comments

Meh, just drop a line looking for some BSN players to help you when you get on. Generally if you're decent and you get one other good player you're fine on gold. The grind is more bearable as well.

I do typically play with my friends and gold and plat are never issues. I've played with Grunt a couple of times and TMB as well. Basically, it's much ado about nothing. My team normally extracts when I PUG. I just got aggravated with lag, bad players, and people not helping with objectives last night. Wiped 2 out 5 games, so I got frustrated and came here to blow off steam.

Eh, no problem then. It's understandable. Generally all pug matches for me turned into solos for the most part. Generally when I'm with terrible teammates I'll try to nuke a spawn on the terrible waves that way if I'm forced to solo it helps me deplete the budget early and hopefully help my teammates live long enough to kill one or two enemies. That said at this point I'd rather just bled out and find a new lobby if I see my whole team down on wave two or three.

I need to start letting myself bleed out, but I can't seem to do it. I guess I am the definition of a try hard when the s*** hits the fan. I would define myself as a slightly above average player, so I can carry a wave sometimes. I guess I am spoiled by having friends who are great teammates and when they're not around, it can be a grind. But, this is a problem that most of us on here face. Again, just vented last night and I appreciate all the advice and even the pithy remarks. QMR's pic was classic

I enjoy making the game go by faster so I can escape terrible pugs. I'm kinda hoping that a 16 min game with me will highlight the flaws in their game when the next one either wipes or takes 30 min.
