You can say goodbye to everyone really?

Because before the last fight , there was no one around the Winter Palace at night?

It's only the party you bring with you. When you go into the crossroads for the last time, there is an open world dialogue where everyone in the party says goodbye (everyone seems to be thinking the Inquisitor is going to die, including the Inquisitor).

Spirit Cole started it when I saw the PT. Then Cass and Dorian joined in with goodbyes. Party Banter.

Yeah, during the entire DLC Teagan was a pain, I was waiting and hoping that I'd get a chance to punch him.

Obviously this Teagan never married the lovely Kaitlyn, who otherwise would have softened his outlook.

I thought Arl Tegan was pretty reasonable throughout.

He has reason to distrust an organization with an army, not just on the border of his nation, maintaining a hold on sovereign Ferelden territory two years after they should have relinquished control.

Later, he has more than enough reason to be angry when the Inquisition all but declares martial law over the Winter Palace, and doesn't disclose the nature or scope of the Qunari threat until it is almost out of control.

Really, while the Inquisitor shows themselves to be personally competent as a combatant, the organization shows itself to be everything the nobles have reason to fear it is.  The Inquisition has a hammer, and not only does everything look like a nail, they start to believe that they are the only capable carpenter.  And that's before we find out that every elf in the organization not named Sera or 'Dalish' is either a Qunari spy or a Solas spy.

Except for Dorian, who is preoccupied with something else, which was just so perfect.

Taking Dorian is great. The other two say their goodbyes but Dorian just mentions how much you're going to miss him when he's gone.

I chose disband.

Paraphrasing from the Doctor, The Inquisition got too big, too noisy and attracted a lot of attention. If my Inquistors want to stop and redeem Solas, they need to be a small group that can't inflitrated easily and people he doesn't know.

damn I had no idea there was a goodbye scene.... that sorta sucks. gotta replay!

anyway I chose disband. angry fist option because speech! and well, I think its better to go after Solas with smaller numbers and leave the military stuff to the actual organizations will get their act together when the time comes, and my Lavellan wasn't particularly fond of even being a Herald of Andraste.

Before the DLC, merging the Inquisition into the Chantry hierarchy was preferred outcome. However, given the situation in Trespasser, I figure it's better to cut down the fat. The Inquisition got too big and too sanctimonious for its own good.

That being said, Orlais and Ferelden can still eat sh*t. Maker help Teagan when he actually has to defend his own holdings for once.

That's why the angry disband option is so awesome. You basically give the political middle finger to both nations and remind them that you'll be saving their asses once again.

The Inquisition accomplished the goals it set out to do. The breach was sealed, the Mage and Templar War was over and order was restored. I may have disliked Tegan but he was right. If the Inquisition continues it will be a destabilizing force. The time to lay down the swords had come. I'd rather be Cincinnatus than Caesar.

My Lavellan chose the "aggressive" disband option.  She didn't want the Inquisition to become an arm of the Chantry, and hunting down Solas was a very personal mission for her.  And when going up against Solas, she knew it was going to be more important to outsmart him than to overpower him.   The Inquisition had gotten too big and corruptible; it would only be a hindrance going forward.  She also wants to continue to try to save him from himself.  Did the "not giving up on you" option and the "save our friend" option.

I orginally went with serving the Divine (Cassandra) and picked the sad option, but seeing this forum I'm beginning to lean towards disbanding the Inquisition. I do feel the Inquisition's time is over, even if I don't want it to be, and I want to do everything to save Solas. This was one of the best DLCs I've ever played. I loved it so much. I must save Solas!

I disbanded and will of course try to save him, it has always been the only option for me.
But I can see why people are going with the divine, specially cass (isnt she marvelous, never met such a white knight before)

I aggressive disband. if only i could hold up my decapitated hand with it's middle finger up

I think if you stay whole, you're probably going against Solas? just because more will be involved in wanted him dead rather than saving him. that's just me guessing though.

Yes and not disbanding means less people to trust.

I chose the neutral disband option.  Bland option for my goody-goody vanilla Inquisitor.  Not that I'm hating on him.  But it summed him up to a tee.

I disbanded Inquisition with neutral option. Solas can turn people into stone with blink of the eye, no army can stop him only Inquisitor his only friend can do it.

I chose to keep the inquisition going serving under Divine Vivtoria. I still see it as a divine duty and keeping the peace, plus that whole fight with Leli, Culls and Josie about the inquisition, Josie crying about fighting hard for the Inquisition for nothing, I couldn't have that break us. We are legion!

I thought it was cute how my Inky recited exactly what Cassandra said to Chancellor Roderick at the beginning, they even cut to Cassandra smiling in that moment...

My Trevelyan went after Solas to kill him. She was pissed beyond reason, but after finding him, A) she couldn't physically kill him and B) she understood where he was coming from, though vowed to save Solas from himself and stop his insane plan. The job was done and my Quizzy was pissed, so went w/ angry disband and save Solas from himself. With Leliana  as Divine, it was tempting to keep the Inquisition, but Trevelyan needed to go save the world ... again w/ people she could trust.

Even though I ultimately went with the aggressive disband option, I waffled between that and the "thumbs up" "support the Divine" option forever. Maxwell was all about keeping the peace, and he supported Cassandra every step of the way, so it would have been a natural consequence to continue to do so... but he believed that he might best keep the peace by taking the Inquisition out of the equation. In his view, the Inquisition was founded to protect Thedas from an immediate threat: Corypheus. Well, Corypheus was dead and the Inquisition had become too bloated to be sustainable indefinitely without a clear and present enemy. They had vast resources, but they were being pulled in too many different directions to bring any of them to bear for maximum effect. He didn't want the Inquisition to become a parody of itself, nor did he believe that a large force would be useful in the battle to come. They needed wits, not an army. Plus, Divine Victoria joins the core group - the Wolf Hunters - anyway, so it wasn't as if he lost out on her talents.

If it sounds like I'm bashing Solas, I'm not. It was brilliantly done, and if anything, I like him better as a character because of it. But Maxwell is a lot more conflicted about him than I am.
