Eyefinity not working correctly in Mass Effect 2 (Pics Included)

When you select the resolution for eyefinity in my case 5760x1200 it appears to zoom everything in on the game and not allow you to see full menu's at the start up screen or in game. This appears to be a FOV based issue. I am aware dragon age suffered from this as well but was later patched to work correctly. I would love to see this issue fixed and have it working correctly as I love this game and have been playing it on one monitor but the experience would be so much more cinematic if it worked correctly in eyefinity.

Thank you for your time

Below are pictures of what the game looks like using eyefinity.

as with ME1, it is based on the unreal engine. this engine natively scales the resolution with -vertical, not +horizontal. I don't think its something that can be patched, as its a characteristic of the engine the game is based on. Sucks, cause I was hoping to use SoftTH with my triple monitors

I am having the same issue with Eyefinity at 5040x1050, the menus are zoomed in so much you only see the middle section, there are options off screen you cant click.  Cause the mouse will not go down there you cant even click accept in a lot of cases.

Its pretty much unplayable at this time.

Same problem here. I am very disappointed. I build my eyefinity setup in anticipation of this game.

Guys, refer to my above post. I'm pretty sure this is not a patchable fix. It's a characteristic of the unreal engine. It handles widescreen resolutions by -vertical, not +horizontal. ME1 did the exact same thing

Actually Batman AA had the same issue which is a UE3 engine based game and there as a FOV hack that was made by a player that fixed the issue by hitting the key you bound it to so it is fixable it just depends on how much work gets invested in it. The game shows up as a Eyefinity supported game which it clearly does not so I just hope someone with Bioware is able to help the fanbase running this kind of setup enjoy the game to its full potential.

If ME2 is the same as ME I'm gonna wait for a patch to buy it and maybe the price will be down by then. This UE3 Vert- stuff is crap, FoV hacks are barely passable fixes that don't work that well (menus, weapon zoom, etc still suck)

It seems like an easy fix, Bioshock is UE3 based and added a 'Lock Horizontal' option in 1.01 patch that works perfectly (when unchecked).

My guess is UE3 uses Vert- so widescreen players don't get an advantage in multiplayer by having a wider field of view but it should be an easy change from the default behavior that devs just don't consider that often.

There is no way its not fixable, its just a matter of how important they think it is to get fixed quickly.

tack on,

I wanna try this game in portrait mode which will help me decide to get eyefinity soon. What I do is put 24" monitor in portrait with 42" in the middle.

Game doesn't even run with 24" in portrait mode. Similar problem to the screenshots except menus don't appear correctly because the screen is too narrow.

LZIM, Eyefinity doesn't scale right if you use different size monitors and it doesn't do PLP (portrait - landscape - portrait) layout yet, maybe in future drivers but right now it doesn't support multiple orientations for gaming.

That said the game actually does ok in 3x portrait mode Eyefinity just because the aspect ratio at 3240x1920 or 3600x1920 is still very near 16:10.

Dragon's Age Origins is Bioware and UE3, IIRC, and I got it working by just messing around with the in game settings. Took a while, but I got it. Perhaps...?

DA Origins would only work very distorted before the patch bioware released, soo our only hope is that they acknowledge the problem once again and help us with a patch like they did with Dragon Age
