Very hush hush on almost every front of eyefinity, 5970x2 (quadfire) not supported by ATI after months of releasing 5970. Many games not supporting eyefinity... makes me feel totally scammed... ATI advertises it at almost every turn, but does not have the software and game developers to back its advertisement... they hide behind technicalities like "what we meant by it (the game) supporting eyefinity is that it will "eventually" support eyefinity or it is in the works" This jargon would not uphold in a court of law for any product advertising; however. Not technically a flame on bioware; however, anyone looking for eyefinity support should know us eyefinity quadfire people have been waiting literally 3 months and still nothing that is a 1/4 of a year after CES where eyefinity was advertised to the community.

Com'n, Bioware. Are you seriously not going to even acknowledge the issue? I would think it would be nice as a common courtesy to say "yes we are aware."

Another victim here. Bought Mass Effect 2 earlier today after reading how I would need at least one of the new ATI 5 series cards just to run the game properly and experience all the marvelous effects blah blah blah. Having one of said cards I thought to myself, "Sounds great, I'm gonna go buy Mass Effect 2 from EA!" Installed it an hour ago, got cheated, found this thread, and I'll come back here again later to moan about the bait and switch until this is fixed.

This was a blatant bait and switch. Blatant. And it will bear repeating on YouTube comment boards et al until this is fixed.

Fix This EA and for pete's sake don't lie about it next time. It's not "nice".

P.S. Game also ****ed up my cursor, but I'll fix that myself.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but go to the last post in this thread and prepare to be upset.

social.bioware.com/forum/Mass-Effect/Mass-Effect-2-PC-Technical-Support-Spoilers-Warning/Still-no-Eyefinity-or-Triplehead-Patch-1533069-1.html

I have an Eyefinity setup as well, I was in the middle of playing through ME2 when I got my Eyefinity setup. I put the game on hold while waiting for an Eyefininty patch for ME2, now it looks like I will be shelving the game. I might finish it if they ever add Eyefinity support for it, but I'm done with the game and I won't be bothering with any of the DLC for it. Very disappointing, but I have plenty of other games which support Eyefinity to play with..personally I didn't find ME2 to be that super awesome, just more of the first game with some changes here and there.

I'll re-post my response to the other thread so people don't have to follow the above link:

Don Moar wrote...

Hey,

While ATI's EyeFinity product is really cool, BioWare did not commit to supporting it on Mass Effect 2.

The link to the PC Games Hardware article posted by boredtotears001 does not quote a specific ATI or BioWare rep, so I can't really comment on it. The link to the image posted by noquarter7 is a list of *potential* titles and developers from an ATI slide presentation, not an actual list of supported titles. See the ATI rep's comments in this thread:

http://www.widescree...hp?f=64&t=18199

That being said, we did investigate the possibility of adding this support in a patch. Unfortunately, what we found indicates that it would not be a quick or simple change. Therefore, we can’t add EyeFinity support to Mass Effect 2 at this time. Should that change in the future, we will let you know.

Thanks!
