This was totally bugging the hell out of me throughout the entire DLC, those purple "Fen'Harel" flames blocking us from those sweet treasure chests. Is there any way to move pass them without dying? (cause I sure as hell haven't figured it out yet...)
So... can we move pass the purple fire or not?

Yep, using the mark skill makes you temporarily invulnerable.

On lower difficulties you can also get a barrier up and it will soak enough damage to get through. Don't know if the fire damage scales up with difficulty though. So, new skill for sure, barrier may work depending.

It worked in Nightmare for me, but you can't stop and smell the flame roses...

I tried using a barrier but it didn't work for me, thankfully it doesn't take too long in the DLC to get the special ability. I was playing on Hard too.

heh, never thought to use the new ability. I just had Cassandra in full guard use barrier, worked every time, since apparently armor helps, never used up more than half my barrier but it killed my Quizzy every time.

Champion spec has an ability that makes your invulnerable for a time, I just use that.

My necro's "ghost mode" blew right past them. I wasn't even aware the new mark ability was meant to get you past that until my buddy told me about that. I was wondering how my other Inkys who didn't happen to be necromancers were going to manage that...
Really cracked me up after my fourth or fifth death > ghost mode when Sera blurted out, "Stop dying, you!"

Yeah, I was abusing Fade Step and Barrier...
