So you can trick the game into giving you a win even though you failed? Fail.

Like realistically isn't the old glitch just a host migration '-'

On topic.

At best it's circumcising the rules.

Wut?

It's a game mechanic that, when you join a game, you get your "lives" and potions.

If there was a mechanic that prevented leaving and rejoining, or inviting players after a certain point, then it would be cheating.

It is intended by Bioware that every person that joins a match have full "lives" and full potions.

It was never intended by Bioware that you could get double XP.

Just because you think something is not sporting doesn't make it cheating.

Host leaving to reset the zone when it's all gone to sh*t is more than likely the main point here.

Apologies if I am wrong.

EDIT: That's a very risky business though given the stability of the game and for the record I have never reset a zone as host as it's not worth a black screen and game over.

I do not think it was intended by Bioware to rejoin with 3 lives and fresh potions.

If that was the case we should have unlimited lives and potions.

They let you back in I'm sure in case of a disconnect. I'm sure its not intended to be used as a cheat to get ahead. Where's the non noob players that don't need to go reset pots? Why is the fade there if you're supposed to leave and rejoin?

Doubt it's intended. Just clever use of game mechanics...

That being said, I'm pretty sure a lot of people with HB challenges complete wouldn't have them otherwise. I do think its interesting how the game seems to be much more stable, but if a host migration takes place it seems to guarantee a disconnect.

Why is this a big deal?

I mean cheating or not why do you even care?

If players do this it would take so long to promote it's not even funny  and what happens when they do this for an hour and die or get dashed anyway?

Its a dc if someone trys to join during a migration. I thought everyone knew this.... anyways why not? I did it with 3 promotion jesters and myself.... I'm pretty sure its not intended for everyone to get....

Taydoe no one cares. I think people are just pointing out that it's a pretty big loophole, resetting deaths and potions when you are intended to only have 3 downs and 2 of each pot...

Having 3 deaths and 2 of each potion for all 5 zones is an entirely different game/strategy.

No one brought up promotions.

Well who cares about the xp glitch then? Really? Fact of the matter is cheatings cheating.... the same people on the ps4s ban wagon does migrates then gets mad about xp? Like didn't you cheat to get 50 points and a portrait? Mean while someone gets 15 points xp and they should be banned? Unless I'm missing something that makes no sense... how can you say I don't cheat if you do cheat? Damp is not your wife stop cheating.

I highly doubt it is intended for lives and potions to be reset when a player has used all of them up, purposely leaves the game in the font room and then rejoins with a brand new set of lives and potions...

IMO, this is cheezy.

XP glitch was a complete fail by Bioware. I've forgiven the players who abused it. At least I have a couple competent ones who can actually use the promotions to play HB occasionally. Most who abused it are still pretty awful at the game and I never find myself playing with anyway.

Just making points of how the 2 can be similar in ways. If you can't beat hb you should have to either get your stats/skills up or get carried legitimate not the sleazy way.

None of my friends did it. I play the majority of my games in lobbies with at least one other person, who absolutely refused to do the glitch. We didn't really need to, it would have maxed our stats almost instantly and left us with nothing to look forward to.

I have met quite a few players in PuGs who wouldn't be nearly as highly promoted as they are without the glitch, which was the point I was making.

Rejoining is something under promoted players use, not for the top leaderboarder since they don't need it & I doubt they would die often if at all even in HB.

Secondly, quit rejoin slows the game down as you lose a damage output from the team for a while and usually takes longer than just in-game revive. Whichever way you use it, it will not make the game any faster than just crushing through everything and kill everything like those leaderboarder would have done.

Finally people often encounter bugs and glitches, examples including narnia and crush and losing connection. This is where the rejoin option really comes in handy. How would you feel if you lost connection at the end of zone 4 or 5 in NM or HB after a good 20 or 30 minutes of fighting? If the devs are to remove this option I would go berserk given the rate of which bugs occur at higher difficulties (due to more mobs and animations, also each run simply takes longer).

Well back to the point if being invited back is being abused how can this be fixed and then what would happen when you get dashed?

Meh, I would assume most people use the strategy inbetween waves(font room) and time isn't of concern for those using it to get a completion they wouldn't otherwise. Not a big issue tho, just takes away from the accomplishment in my opinion.

The other circumstance I assume people used it in the past was to reset a wave when a wipe was imminent. Host leaves, get to start over. That's cheezy IMO. But, with all the disconnects in the past go right on ahead if you so please.

I don't think anyone is advocating for the removal of being able to rejoin games. They are just pointing out that using it on purpose as a means to reset lives and potions is a little bit, sneaky.

As of HB, my experience is that everything is fine until one of the party member dies and sets off a chain reaction where everyone else also gets killed while trying to revive. And if we lose a player we get wiped so quickly that once someone tries to do the rejoin glitch, they never ever makes it back on time before the team gets wiped.
