One thing that sort of bugged me back when I read The Stolen Throne is why on earth The Legion of the Dead would support A Ferelden King in his rebellion.
Lately ive been thinking that Orzammar and the Dwarves actually secretly supported the Ferelden Rebellion, come up with a theory of sorts.

So we know Orzammar is heavily reliant on the surface trade to survive, and they trade with the surface via the dwarven merchants guild. The Dwarvern Merchants guild is based out of Kirkwall.

During the Dragon Age 2 quest quest Secret Rendezvous:  http://dragonage.wik...cret_Rendezvous we learn that Kirkwall is hiring pirates to harass Amaranthine traders as the city is beginning to rival trade with Kirkwall on the waking sea.
We learn in Dragon Age: Awakening that the city of Amaranthine was built by the Orlesians after conquering the country, they began to develop the coastlands to cut into the trade along the waking sea.

So with the Dwavern Merchants Guild of Kirkwall being a primary component in this Kirkwall trade, it is in their interest to stop further development for trade along the Ferelden Coastlands to cut out the competition, So is it possible they pressured Orzammar into supporting the rebellion? Having Orzammar lend the Ferelden rebels The Legion of the Dead, and perhaps even providing them with financial help to equip their troops?

We also learn in Inquisition if Harrowmont is King that he is supplying dwarvern steel to Gaspards troops, Maybe to keep the fighting going so as to ensure Orlais is weakened and cannot soon conquer Ferelden?
Bhelen obviously not doing this due to actually caring for his people and not wanting them to starve heh.
