Dear Bioware, dear DAI-gamers,

(Sorry for my english first   )

You told us how much you appreciate us, the fans. So please give us a little present for all our tears and sweat, our passion and our time (and of course money). ;)  Please Bioware, give us a little "appreciation-present":

Could you please give us a little decision AFTER the ending of "Dragon Age Inquisition - Trespasser": "What we want to do with our missing hand / forearm."

After the inquisitor is speaking a last time with Josephine, Leliana, Cullen and Harding and talk about what they will do in future.

1.) Possibility - Please make a little wheel of decision appear with the following options:

- Do nothing with the missing forearm. Your clothes will be stitched up.

- Make an artificial replacement that looks like a real arm.

- Dagna will make you a crazy weapon replacement there, which will increase your fighting skills.

- It will cost some money & influence but your forearm will grow back with some magic help. But: You will get some sort of penalty to your fighting skill, until the new forearm is trained.

(The fighting skill changes are just "fun", so it sounds more realistic).

2.) Possibility - Please patch in a last Wartable Mission:

What do you want to do with your lost forearm, Inquisitor?

- Cullen: Let it remain like this. It's a mark of honor!

- Leliana: Dagna will make you something incredible, so you could fight even better than before. My spies will get the materials necessary.

- Jospehine: We have connections to the best mages of South Thedas & Tewinter: They can restore your arm. But you will get some penalty on your fighting skills.

It's just a little cosmetic patch, nothing else:

- It will chance NOTHING of the history or the ending like it is now. It just gives the player a possibility to have a little choice regarding the destiny of OUR beloved character, AFTER ALL.
- It will not change any of your further ideas and plans what could happen to the Inquisitor. Even a grown-back arm could "not work and get lost" in the future if you want it.

Bioware, for all the people who are happy with their lost forearm or would love an artificial limb, or a weapon instead, everything is great. But there are a lot of fans here who are really, really desperate. REALLY DESPERATE! They feel like you have destroyed their beloved character.

Could you please imagine: A lot of us were sitting hours on the CharacterCreator to create an Inquisitor to suit our taste.
We fought epic battles to get mods to run :-) And Bioware, you dit not make it easy to us to work with mods. About every (second) patch was a challenge to get mods working again. But no matter: For better sideburns and longer eyelashes we fought this exhausting battle.
I don't want to have a handicapped Inquisitor. I love my female fighter lady and I want her to be like she was, before meeting Solas (at the end) .... a few scars ok, but NOT handicapped like this. My whole motivation to replay the game is gone... I feel so sad and miserable...

My suggestion is a nice solution which will NOT CHANGE ANYTHING of the story, which will not force changes in future games. It's just a little cosmetic patch - a patch for your fans.

PLEASE BIOWARE - I MEAN IT!
( ;) Ok, I'l be honest... I still can't forgive the ME3 ending, even if you implement this patch. What's your intention to kill, destroy, torture, handicap our beloved heros? All right, let's have a deal: I will forgive you the ME3 ending, however, I will not forget and not going to stop burning on your nerves ;) )

PS: Dear DAI-gamers, if you are happy with the decisions you have made until now: Great, enjoy your game. :)
Please understand that other people have other needs and imagination. And this patch idea would change NOTHING for nobody who doesn't want it.

I put the wartable - idea into a "patch-idea", here is the link: http://forum.bioware.com/topic/562647-dai-patch-12-cheap-effective-idea-for-the-next-patch/

Please comment and tell me other ideas you have for a little (cheap) patch. Also: Please tell about bugs you found.

I would be okay with a steampunk-like realistic looking artificial limb, made of precious metals and studded with gems.  Or a no-nonsense wooden arm with mechanical joints.

No hooks, and no weapons attached to stumps, please.

Let the disabled Inquisitor have his/her dignity.

they might do something about that, but the next game you will be a different character so you won't personally half to deal with the one armed herald, it will probably make them more easy to spot thou in later games, cameos and all.

I totally want my Inquisitor to have a pretty fly limb. I mean, Rogue Quizzy gets a Crossbow. I'm sure Dagna can hook me up with something befitting a warrior like myself or some good ole fashioned magic.

Hello BIOWARE!

These ideas are really great! More freedom of decision!

We gamers LOVE our heros. I know, you game developers love to make things dark and 'realistically' - what by the way seems to be a little bit funny for fantasy/ fiction.

But we gamers love to HOLD these affectionately fed up heros!!! The actual attraction of a multi-part game comprises the possibility of IMPORTING the characters, in other words there has to be an additional value for the gamers who played the preceding parts!

At least we gamers don't want to see our heros suffering - real life is hard enough! So take pity on us gamers, please!

Yes it was. If you choose to become a "Jenny" you get an "arm-prosthesis" like this. MY character would NEVER EVER wear this, sorry. It's sooo horrible *cry* :(  My sweet little, soft and friendly Inquisitor girl. (My male Inquisitor wants a BIG sword as prosthesis ....  hrhrhr) .

I have a Patch idea ...................... I make a new thread. It don't fit here.

I *really* don't want any magic prosthesis in this setting, even if it isn't made by "magic".

I also think what you're proposing is unnecessary.

I wrote down the question if it should really be a magic or better no-magic prothestis in the "new idea-plan". ;) I made a new thread, see my Patch idea.

If a lot of players / gamers are sad about the lost forearm and this idea could make them happy again, that it's probebly unnecessary for you, but not for them. :o

Some People are a bit like: "Do I need this, do I like this? Not? Than it is unnecessary ...!"  Even if the idea would not distrub them at all, even if they would NEVER see the idea ingame - because they just don't have to choose and it will NOT chance the world or something else at all.

I like somehow the other  DAI fans  (not all of them of course) and it makes me sad to see (for example) a lot of Solas romance fans being so sad. I don't really care about him so mutch, but if there is an idea to make this players just a little bit happier: MAKE IT!

I have a patch idea, look here please (I'm a bit nervous   ):

I include to the patch idea: Wartable mission: The lost forearm"  . I made some little chance.

I guess I got lucky then, since my character was an archer anyway...   but when/how do you become a red jenny?  0o  I heard that there was an option of either becoming a Red Jenny or a Charger... but I don't recall when that choice is made.  And I'm especially confused because Sera hated my character and my Inquisitor was in a relationship with Bull.  Talk about awkward.  :P

Sera talked to me at the tavern .. wait I search a clip for you .. give me a minute. ;)

HERE it is. You have to look a bit further, till both have finished to prank people:

:)

I think it's ok, that the adventure days of the Inquisitor are over. At the beginning I was shocked and I don't wanted it, but know ... it fit. It's all right. I was convinced here in the forum. ;) I chanced my mine.

But I don't want that my female character looks like an invalid, even if she is one. Ok, it's probebly somehow a "female thing" that women & girls want (often, not always) to look "good".

And it's somehow probebly a bit a "male thing" that a lot of man and boys want a rocket launcher instead of their hand. :D

You know, watching this, it dawned on me - I actually don't know if I got the slide with the crossbow arm.  I actually saw the slide when someone else was livesteaming - I know I at least got a similar slide (it had Sera jumping from rooftop to rooftop) but I don't know what else was on the slide, since I was trying to read the text fast enough.

Because I never got that scene.  Sera didn't like my Inquisitor in the slightest. lol

And idk, I liked the idea of my Female Dalish Inqisitor with a crossbow arm.  At the very least it would've made sense, given I played her as a Bow/arrow user since day 1.  :)

I don't really see the point in giving an option for this, seeing as you can't go back into Skyhold once you beat Trespasser.  In the future, you might run into the Inquisitor, but one of the options in dealing with your Inquisition has the Inquisitor outright state that his/her adventuring days are over.

I think the point of this was to show you why the Inquisitor isn't out saving the world in DA4, as opposed to having him/her conveniently disappear like the last two protagonists.  Although it's sad to see the Inquisitor missing the trademark Anchor and half an arm, well... that sort of thing happens in war.  I'm okay with it whether my Inquisitor gets a prosthetic or not.

And theres other options that have the Inquisitor say "I'm going to save the world. Again."

Don't write off the Inquisitor's return based off of ONE sentence from ONE of SEVERAL different dialogue sequences.

Finally: Thanks to my (new best) friend Drasanil ;)  *Hugs*:

Official EA Dragon Age Comic: http://dragonage.wik...Age_(IDW_comic)

Protagonist in this comic: http://dragonage.wik...m/wiki/Minderel

Quotation: Minderel in particular, suffered a major wound in his leg from a battle with a dire Corrupted spider. Gleam was able to set the bone straight and healed his leg but she also inadvertently grew back his arm; albeit not grown as big as his other arm.

I'm sure the Inquisitor could find better mages to do this proper.

You can find some pictures here: http://forum.bioware...e-prosthetics/ :)

(think it starts at page 3. I put also a few nice Prothesis pictures in. I STILL want the arm regrown for my femlae main hero, but the Prothesis pictures are interesting.)
