Seriously, WTF Teagan, when did you become such an a-hole? His arguments may have been sound at first but as the DLC went on, he became more and more of a douchebag about disbanding the Inquisition time and again. Seriously, what happened to the guy who invited the Inquisition to a tournament as an apology?

Also, when he went on a rant against the Wardens, I lost any respect I had for him. You know, the same Wardens he's hating that you know saved your entire village, saved your brother and his family, saved your COUNTRY, and who has his nephew as a member and the freaking KING.

Seriously, I hope Teagan dies in a fire. I chose the angry option of keeping the Inquisition mostly because I hate him.

Uh, I don't.

I hate Bioware for sort of screwing his character over. He looks and acts nothing like teagan besides a lip curtain and the voice.

I understood the problems he had with the Inquisition even if they had kept the peace, I just sort of wanted them to portray him more in Character as we know him. Calm, collected, passionate to his people, slightly snarky.

But I guess they didn't want us to only hate the Orlesian guy for once.

I don't mind that too much, the wardens are idiots. Necessary idiots, though, but can't fault a man for disliking them. But I do dislike that it goes against his experience with them, makes no sense for this specific character.

Teagan's argument is utterly ridiculous.  "We were invaded centuries ago by the Grey Wardens, and we repelled them. Now the Inquisition is near us with Grey Wardens, unacceptable!"

Let's take into account the fact that

1: Grey Wardens have been stationed in Ferelden FOR centuries

2: Ferelden is 15ish years out of a blight, prevented by a Grey Warden.

3: A Grey Warden personally saved his life, and perhaps that of his wife and son above and far beyond the call of duty.

4: Ferelden's ruler may or may not be a Grey Warden, even perhaps the Hero.

5: The Hero at the very least rules an arling.

Him using Grey Wardens as an attack against the Inquisition is perhaps the poorest writing I've seen from Bioware in the game.

He's getting bald; so he is becoming Evil

Seriously, Teagan was the only dude that had been keeping my respect on that family, now he's on the bottom like the others, at this point, Mabaris are the only reason of why I wouldn't burn Ferelden to the ground. where the fck it's my Mabari? How Cullen could get a creepy one but I couldn't even keep Guardian of Mythal?

I was never fond of him even in DAO. Just simply trying to get to know resulted in a rude reply before he apologized and then outright convinced himself you were star-crossed lovers if you flirt a little.

Not really.  You spend most of the DLC proving him right.

Spoiler

I missed his comment about the Wardens, unless you mean the one where he's talking about them being exiled in the past.  Which isn't hating on the current Wardens so much as citing similar historical examples and repercussions, unless I'm misremembering his comment.

Man, Teagan doesn't bother me as much as Isolde does but he's really lost a lot of respect from me.

Teagan very specifically mentions the Wardens as being part of the Inquisition's ranks at a point of contention.  The Orlesian ambassador even responds with nothing the Grey Wardens having proven their worth time and time again, elicting a response from Teagan that the Orlesian would say that due to the Inquisition's assistance with the civil war.

Don't have the dlc yet but this sounds like character butchery. That.. does not sound anything like our Teagan at all.
I bet that was really Solas crap stirring it for the wardens since he hates them so much.

I recall the mention, just not the details.  Thanks for the clarification.

Applying someone else's faults on a target that once was useful but whose benefits have been exploited already, turning the back and trying to destroy an institution that just saved his people's arses from a mess that his own King/Queen began, all of these seems familiar to me.

No, I don't hate him. As TK said, he has quite a few legitimate grievances.

Still, he is rather lippy considering his total ineptitude in protecting his own subjects. Wish I could have told him to speak in a more respectful tone.

Doesn't Teagan's comment about the Wardens 'invading centuries ago' fall flat if he's talking about Soldier's Peak, where the Wardens were trying to overthrow a tyrant King, lost and the winners wrote in the history books the Wardens were the bad guys?

The Warden hate confused me. I was playing with a world state where Alistair and Anora rules and Loghain became a Warden so it was really strange for him to rant about the order like that. Alistair and Loghain may not agree with everything that the order does, but I'm pretty sure they don't hate the Wardens or consider support for the order to be a bad thing. Ferelden owes everything to two Wardens who managed to save their pit of brown mud from total annihilation just a decade earlier. Why would Ferelden forget that? It would have made more sense coming from the orlesians since they actually had recent Warden troubles.

His characterization here is a bit puzzling.  My Inquisitor felt that the Inquisition had done its job and wanted to disband it, and thus agreed with his concerns whenever she had the chance, but he was still quite aggressive in tone and speech.  Fair enough: maybe he thought she was insincerely trying to mollify him.  But his comments about the Wardens are really odd, given how much good the Wardens have done for Ferelden in his lifetime - plus, in my game, Alistair was king.  It was refreshing to have the Orlesian character be relatively supportive, but I'm still baffled at the choice of Teagan for such a hostile role.  Maybe old age isn't agreeing with him.

This! Kinda.

In my world state his King and Queen are both wardens instead of Anora, but I was wondering why he was bitching about Warden's in his country when Ferelden pretty much owes everything to the Wardens atm. I mean, Redcliffe wouldn't even had been there for the Inquisitor to save (a second time) if not for Wardens.

But do I hate him now? Nah.

Kissing Orlais' butt since we made peace with them? Honestly though I never liked Eamon and Teagan is just as shifty now that's he's Arl.
