Okay, I arrive in the Blackmarsh where I find the dead body of Kristoph and The First and we all get sent to the Fade.  I did a number of battles against the Desire Demons before I find the Baroness, the villagers, and Justice.  After defeating The First, we all end up back in the real world where we defeat the Baroness.  Now I'm searching for the Dragon bones and find throughout the area "Tears in the Veil" where the team can't go but where we see Desire Demons dancing around.

 

So, did I confront the Baroness too early in the Fade?  Does this indicate that I failed to clear out demons from areas in the Fade that correspond to the real world?  Is there any way I can fix these "Tears in the Veil" or do I have to go back to a previous save?  I believe the last bone I need is in one of these "Tears".

Yeah, you went there too early. There should be three groups of demons to defeat.

Hmmm....I could've sworn I defeated at least three groups of demons while in the Fade.  This stinks, my last Auto-Save is after you enter the village in the Fade.  You can't get back into the outskirts from there because of all the locked gates.  Arghh!!

Okay, after much misery (and this time many more saves), I'm back in the Fade version of Blackmarsh. I've killed three groups of demons and repaired three tears in the veil, did the rune circle puzzle, and picked up every "Essence of..." I could find. I'm about to enter the crypt. Anything else I needed to do before entering the village?

I don't think so, but it's 2:30 am my time and I may be forgetting something. You might want to check the wiki to be sure.  (And make sure to have a new save for every new area you enter, so if you end up needing to retrace your steps, it'll be that much easier.)

Good to know. I always fight the demons in the fade but I sometimes wondered what would happen if you dont do it. Now I do.
