Did they have any missions where they saved people? I recall most of their war table missions being about reconnaissance and cleanup, but I'm probably forgetting something.
The Chargers apparently did a lot of heroic adventurer stuff on behalf of the Inquisition before Trespasser judging by the thank-you notes. And of course even the recon and cleanup stuff would have saved the lives of bystanders and your less capable troops. Similarly I have to think that the Qunari alliance did lead to them doing some stuff that helped your side.
Apart from that, were I the inquisitor, I'd want that alliance just so that I could have Leliana figure out what the Qunari intelligence resources were from the information they gave me.
