The only sigil that interests me is the bronto one, rest seem as bad as the berserk masterwork.

I found the Bronto one on the first Bronto I met by accident, and now I'm using it to solo Trespasser, 900 guard is kind of a lot.

Greater Mistral might be cool with the Axe that converts all damage to Cold (Rime?)

I haven't actually used them, but some of them could work

Various elemental stuff could work with a specialised build. Though that specialised a build would get annoying when you run into the wrong sort of resistance. Or I guess it'd be great with one of those elemental damage weapons you can get in Trespassers

Lyrium could be good for non-warriors, if you've got a lot of barrier going on. Their health is pretty negligible anyway.

Deathroot for DPS. I don't like spending healing potions on DPS anyway, they die too quick on full health for it to be worth it on Nightmare.

Bronto would be great if you didn't have a mage in the party, and potentially pretty good for a tank even if you did.

Deepstalker for dagger rogue? You want to be flanking anyway.

Nug for a tank? Losing the extra damage would annoy me, but it's not inherently bad.

Bronto is good, even with a mage i dont bother with barriers.

Bear looks pretty overpowered, based on my testing.  On paper it should be:

Without Sigil: 100 max mana, regen 6 mana per tick at 100%

With Sigil: 200 max mana, regen 6 mana per tick at 50%

So without buffs, mana should take the same amount of time to regen.  I tested this by trying to spend 85 mana as fast as possible, both with and without the sigil.  In both cases, it took about 14 seconds to regen to full, not 14s without sigil and 28 seconds with sigil.  So base mana regen is the same with both.

But the real issue is that with the sigil, you start at 50% regen, so any buffs on top of that should be doubled.  I tried to test this using a casting sequence that spend 135 mana.  They were identical except that one of them ended with Barrier (for Rejuvenating Barrier, +35% regen) and the other didn't.

If rejuv barrier only increased regen to 135/2 = 67.5% (i.e., a 35% increase), then it should take 16.7 seconds to regen to full.  If it increased it to 85%, then it should take 13.2 seconds.  It actually took about 13 seconds, not 17.  Without rejuv barrier, it took 22 seconds.  That is almost exactly a 70% regen increase, which is what you would expect when you go from 50% to 85% regen.

So in terms of mana per tick, the Bear sigil appears to double the effect of any regen buffs like Rejuvenating Barrier, Combat Clarity, rift mage stuff, etc.

Sigil of the Bear and Sigil of the Bronto look like the best ones. I guess Sigil of the Giant can work as as option.

May I ask the Bronto you killed, where is it? I killed so many today and can't get one......or it's just bad luck...

Trying out Sigil of the Giant on my Necromancer atm, can spam fairly well but I need Consuming Fire (Immolate), Clean burn and Gathering storm for it to work after experimenting a bit with different setups. Forgot to mention I use a Superior Cooldown Amulet as well.

I saw 3 level 27 Brontos in northern emerald graves. I warped in there to check out the difficulty solo with all trials on. The fight took quite a while, and I looted the sigil on the first one I killed.

Oh, so they can drop in the pre-Trespasser parts of the game, then?

Yes. War table missions, loot, dragons...

So far i have not strapped one of these on any member in my party. The positives they give just are outweighed by the negatives for me to use them.
Might try the great bear on a KE.. maybe

My KE has been using belt of the storm pact to overcharge my electric attacks (electricity staff basic attacks, storm spells are 3 times stronger), which lowers my health to only 200+ hp, so sigil of the deathroot has no negative affect on me and is a must have for dps. To be honest, KE generally doens't require that much healing anyway if you play efficiently, so I say sigil of the deathroot has its niche use on KE if you are pushing for ultimate dps,

Yes how can I forget that when I look at the 200% flanking bonus, although there will be very wonky times that flanking an enemy isn't possible.

If you arent flanking you arent doing high dmg anyway. I'm using it and enjoying, the Qunari (with Walk Softly and Even Ground on) are dying faster than when I wasnt using it and no trials were on.

to that end would Sigil of the Gamordan Stormrider (+10% Electricity Damage, -50% All Other Damage) not be a better sigil to bolt on?

KE uses Fade Cloak and Spirit Blade as primary offensive spells, using that sigil would damp the KE dps.

(with Walk Softly and Even Ground on)...

Boost32 are you getting any 'special deliveries' for using those? Ive got those two plus a grizzly end and the party double negative on and have only had one delivery in 12 levels! Even then i only got 3 moonstones.. Just wondering :)
