I had to switch to a laptop as typing this out on my phone was taking too long.

First, let me illuminate a few mechanics....

Thank you for taking the time to do this! Helped me decide no to use the sigil :)

Quick question for those in the know..
Would the Sigil of the Revenant (35% Heal On Kill / -50% Maximum Health) be a potential better sigil for a reaver. The HoK would supplement devour maybe?
Thanks for any answers clarifying this.

Problem with heal on kill is its alright for trash and you keep getting the last hit. Its not so good if you run into stuff that takes a while to die. Besides devour is now decent and i find it enough to keep me topped up. A bit of HOK is fine, i personally run the heal on kill ring, that coupled with devour is enough for me.

makes sense, dammit i now have to decide amulet or sigil. If i go amulet i can run bronto sigil which weirdly enough is actually decent.

Is that the Ring of Life Drain? Is that better than the heal 1% on hit Snofleur masterwork?

Its definitely more than 19, feels like more easily. Besides at 1000 stamina adjusted will still take a long time, as it stands we got 2 choices, amulet of sigil for more stamina. Ideally i wish we could have allocated our stat points but since we cant do that we have 160 max with a amulet or 200 max with a sigil. Those are our only two options.

The sigil is a lot easier to get and frees up our amulet slot. The best stamina amulet lies in JOH, bear sigil a LOT easier to get.

We will need to agree to disagree. I will be using sigil of the bronto.

I think Bioware missed one.  There should be a 'Sigil of the Horse':  Take no fall damage ever.

Sigil of the horse? How could a lowly horse be the herald of such an exalted sigil?

As we all know, there is a direct correlation between the nuggaloptity of our mounts, and our desire to drive them off cliffs. The greater their nuggalopdedness, the more often we find ourselves in a pile of limbs and nuggaloppsitude. Therefore, only the majestic nuggalope is worthy of nuggalogifying a sigil with its name. These are simply facts.

Well before the update i ran the crappy devour, Heal on kill and snoufleur. Now devour actually heals a damn so i got rid of snoufleur and instead went for bloodstone masterwork for 7.5% damage increase per enemy in 8m radius.

Hmm bigdawg so looking at ROP mechanics properly since you mentioned them, for reavers more than massive stamina increases what they actually need is how fast they get it back.

About the passive in 2h tree (clear a path) im not sure whether it works with dragon rage. But since looking at rop and my previous misunderstanding i am actually thinking that base stamina is more than enough but need to look for faster regen. More stamina would have been nice if rop cost was fixed but its not.

i tried bear in descent with high mob density and frequent fights and i was actually stamina starved due to the handicapped regen.

Tested sigil of deathroot and sigil of golem and neither apply the 10% attack but apply the negatives -50% healing bonus and -100% critical chance. Really disappointed that deathroot is bugged.

I think I'll be using the Sigil of the Bronto for now.  There is a sigil of ... can't remember the name, that increase regen but also cooldown times.  This may be a reasonable solution for faster regen.  Couple this with +stamina amulet and you may have a very short downtime on RoP.  But I still think the Sigil of the Bronto for better guard is a really viable alternative.  It may not help with regen but my survival with trials on is...lacking a little.

I would if I could.

Actually I have considered combining a few of these into 1 big thread.  The problem is I'm not sure where 1.10 ends and Trespasser content (in terms of drops, gear, game options) begins.

Lol, I thought you started this one too.

Yeah, I think until Bioware issues Patch 11, we have to treat DLC mechanics separately from Patch 10 mechanics. I still believe having toggles only work in DLC was unintentional, but BW has proved me wrong before.

Guard works too due to the W&S passive which will convert guard damage as well into stamina. SO bronto is still better as for warriors taking guard damage can also give us back stamina.

I did not know that losing guard was treated the same as health. Good to know.

My artificer is adoring Sigil of the Bear. 20 additional elemental mines with every use? Yes, please! And, of course, regen rate is basically a non-issue.

Bear is excellent if your skills have static costs and you have enough ways to get it back. Rogues in particular can get stamina back for every crit on top of their base regen and doing damage. Therefore for rogues it is excellent.

I wanna know who came up with the stats on these things. The trade offs never make it worth it. "Want 10% extra damage on lightning based attacks?? Just give up 50% of every other attacks potency!"

The same person who designed the berserk masterwork.

All I can say is sigil of deep stalker is pretty insane. Ultimate weapon for assassin or flank stealth mage. Consider you max crit and flanking damage on both builds and not attack. Fadestep gives you mobility to move behind enemies. After that one shot them with your favorite spell. I am pretty sure you can eventually hit 20k maybe 30k with chaotic focus firemine while flanking the target.

Except chaotic focus + firemine is bugged and reducing damage instead.

Or maybe that's just with the searing glyph upgrade.  I can't keep it sorted anymore.

I know this is a brag, but I can't help it, the RNG usually hates me. I got Bear, Deathroot and Arcane Horror today, all in the Forbidden Oasis. I know, Arcane Horror is not so great, but still better than a lot of the others and I run Solas all the time. If I had gotten Bronto instead it would have been a trifecta.
