So, after Trespasser do you think he meant Solas?

"One day the magic will come back." - He wants to destroy the Veil and fuse the real world with the Fade(probably whats meant by magic) again.

 

"Everyone will be just like they were." - Maybe he means that the Elven people, which were immortal and had magic affinity. It most likely will have an effect on everybody though.

 

"The shadows will part and the skies will open wide." - A metaphor for the truth finally revealing?

 

"When he rises, everyone will see" - I guess, thats supposed to be Solas and his rise to power again?

 

Well what do you guys think?

We thought this to be about Corypheus at first, but the same thought came to me Solas was actually meant by it.

 

Sure, the skies will open wide sound a lot like the breach and not something directly Solas-related; but, after all, that's what started his whole buisness.

 

The magic coming back seems to me to exactly describe what will happen when the veil is removed.

When I hear the phase "make everyone as they were", I think this applies to all the main races in Dragon Age. Each race has degenerated in some way, the Dwarves were once connected to the Titans, the Elves immortal, and the Qunari were breed with Dragon blood. I even think humans were once something else.

 

I have yet to hammer out the details but I believe that humans are decended from spirits that were trapped in the material world upon the creation of the veil. Like Cole, I believe that since the material world is unchanging the spirits trapped there were forced into an unchanging form. Thus humans were born. If this is the case, I would love it if the writers would flesh out this idea. (Pun intended).

Everyone being like they were may reference the Fade, as Solas said he sees people as tranquil when he woke up. I think it's certainly Solas, he's the one trying to bring back the old magic while Corypheus was simply trrying to become a god.

I think that's what elves are, actually, and humans are more "real" as Cole would put it.  Which would explain why mixed children appear entirely human.

It's about Solas no doubt. I remember alot of people thought it was COryfish because of the breach, but that's the only thing that fits there, everything else fits Solas perfectly.

It may not even be about Solas, the Elven Gods where mages, it is highly possible that the maker was one too.

i thought so too but what were humans before the veil were every race immortal like the elves did qunari breathe fire like dragons., it does make more sensed about solas then anyone else since he trying bring back as it once was.

Yup! At least that explains where the hell he was in DAI: wandering amongst the elluvians.

 

I still wonder what happened to Bodahn, though. It would be sad if Sandal just disappeared through an elluvian one day and Bodahn was out there somewhere desperately searching for his son.

I am pretty sure it refers to Solas... specially after finding his diary in the upside down library. That easter egg was a bit funny.

For those of you who dont know: enter the library, as soon as you do, go forwad until you find a small gap on the left. Follow it as if you were returning to the entrance. Practically behind the eluvian that takes yoi to the library, there is an anvil to modify weapons, a dwarven chest with two superb runes and a "sandal's super secret diary" all it says its "enchantment", but one assumes that if its THERE, then HE had to be THERE.

Uh no we didn't since the prophecy stated him, not her. People thought it was the OGB at first, butt because he's optional that can't be him, then everyone thought it wast he Elder One but somethings didn't fit what he was doing and how we have Solas who fits it perfectly.

Sure, why not? Writers often write the begining and the end of a story first, and then fill in the middle to tie it all together. This maybe what BW writers did. They knew how they wanted the story to start and end. Then somewhere along the line, they came up with Sandal to try and tie the story together.

It seems from what the devs said, Solas was created as far back as DAO. Remember that Tevinter statue in the Magi origin quest? It too predicted upcoming things. I'm wondering if Solas made a miscalculation and when he tears the Veil down, the world won't be destroyed but changed.

I'm actually more curious about the statue. The devs said it hinted at things to come. And we've actually be sealing rifts since DAA and Witch Hunt, but a bit differently lol

Yeah she says things that are to come. I forgot it all since I haven't played it for 3/4 months though. 

 

As i recall she says she told her "lord" of his downfall, and mentions something about Elves in Witch Hunt. The only "future" i recall her mentioning was she and Finn would not meet again

I looked it up and she also mentioned a breached prison. Could be the OG or maybe Cory in DA2 because she said darkness would fall. Seems her and Sandal predict upcoming games, but in DAI it was Cole who discovered the upcoming plot Solas had before he wiped his mind.

 

Can you show me? My Origins broke, otherwise i'd replay it XD
