She says that because of the veil tears in the circle tower after what happened in the blight. Though that she was so afraid shows how bad veil tears are

So we were doing the veil thing long before DAI lol I thought so, but yeah devs said not all her rambling in the Magi Origin was just rambling. Can't find those though.

It seems like she realised that the veil tears were caused by something else, hence the "darkness will consume us" not "it" (as in the fade)

The statues? Is that the "stone they made me and stone i shall stay, until the maker turns His gaze on me"? I may have forgotten, i play Dalish most of the time.

Something like that. Something about rising too. She says one last thing before Lily tells Jowan and I to stop talking to it. She's terrified of it.

Thank you! See I have this thought that Solas is the Maker and Andraste was clueless (and he did create the veil). He said to tear down the veil, veilfire would kill everyone and that fire line is what I was trying to remember.

 

Interesting theory, and i've heard similar before. Since Solas is a dreamer, he could have spoken to Andraste. I've heard some speculate he was Shartan.

 

It seems, though, that most of the big bad comes from Par Vollen and beyond. And something the statue said made me think of Titans, though i can't remember what it said DX

if you read Sandal's Diary in trespasser you find out that he has been around for many ages and might even be older than what is shown in the book. Sandal might be something very powerful that we do not understand.

It's said the Maker is the one who separated flesh and spirits, but that's what Solas did. And if the Magisters entered the Black City (now I think it's Arlathan tainted by the Blight that Andruil brought back from the Void) because Gods spoke to them, it could have been the trapped elven Gods. Cole said they are sleeping AND hurting and we know the Blight is painful if you are tainted.

Yes, that's a very good point. I'd thought that myself.

I'm thinking he's a key connection to the Elven Gods and Dwarves. We also know from another thread the the elven Gods struck down a Titan. The impact possibly awoke the Darkspawn.

On the occasions he does speak, he does end up talking like Flemeth. "I'm telling you what you need to know, but not in a way you will understand"

He also said he saw her too if I recall in a dream and at the end of DAI, if you travel to Val Royeaux someone says they saw a woman in their dreams. I don't get how that works if Solas took all her essence. I think she past more on to Morrigan than we know.

Yeah, they say it's Mythal. But she's cheated death time and time again, all she needs is "a piece". And we know she was doing something to the Eluvian in the little scene at the end. I don;t think their goals are too different. She was justice, he wants justice for her, but also to rebuild the elven empire. She may even be in 2 places at once, depending on if you help Morrigan in Origins. Plus, she has the same advantage over Solas as he does the Inquisition, she knows him, In which case, she could be 15 steps in front of him.

I think he's a pawn in her plans for revenge. When he tears the Veil down she will get her revenge and take everyone out, him included.

She's had a hand in many other pies, so it wouldn't suprise me. We don't know if we can trust her, though she keeps her word, mostly

So far all she's done for us keeps her strong. She can charm her away out of a fight with the HOF, bargain with Hakwe to bring that amulet to Sundermount and trick you or Morrigan into becoming binded to her. And she also tries to assure Morrigan she was never going to hurt her because she needs her for her future plans.

 

This is all just guessing but it's fun and i can't wait to see what really happens !

 

Everything she does benefits her in some way, that's for sure.  The HoF had to stop the blight or she would die too.

She doesn't seem as interested in the Inquisitor if bound to them, i feel. But that benefits Morrigan also.

 

Oh, i'm the same, trust me, Trespasser is ruining my life right now. I move to university on Sunday, but i can't sleep right now (UK time). I need to play it again DX

As I mentioned in the Soals thread, maybe a bound Inquisitor or Morrigan will have to be taken down in the new game by us as a new PC.

I think Morrigan is too important to kill. Also, if the Inquisitor was going to die, it should have been when confronting Solas. Otherwise i feel it will be nonsensical. Unless it makes sense in the story, like it kinda did with Hakwe/various Warden

 

I've tried, i give up. I'm just going to sit here and obsess and wonder how my brother figured out Solas made the veil before i did >_>

I hope we don't have to kill them either, but I wonder if that Well is more important than just not having the guardians attack. 

 

Lol I've been so sick since Sunday. I have been on here trying to take my mind of it and now I'm all fuzzy thanks to Trespasser!

 

I didn't find any other use for the well but that. I could have missed something, i wanted to get my closure (which i didn't really get XD)

I was really giddy when i was playing it, then i had mood swings about the ending. I am lukewarm to some of it
