I still have a considerable amount of BioWare points and I don't know what do with them. Since Dragon Age Inquisition, BioWare no longer supports the old BioWare Points. This is actually a good thing because I find "real" money as a currency clearer. However, it's not so good for me at the moment because, well, what happens with my old points now?

 

Derek French had made a comment last year that they were dealing with the situation in the near future and I'm wondering if there is any news. It's been a year. I would really appreciate a short update .

 

We cannot do any type of points to cash conversion, unfortunately. We do have some plans to deal with this situation in the near future, but it is still in the planning stages right now.

There is nothing that players with leftover points can do?

 

Actually, I was interested in buying the Trespasser DLC. I still have 1840 points credit which is more than the 14,99 $ that Trespasser costs. Understandably, I don't want to spend 14,99 $ when I still have the money in balance. I had hoped that BioWare would examine an alternative solution.

You should definitely try. They would be the ones who could possibly help you out.

So, I just contacted the customer support. The guy was really friendly and helpful but there was nothing he could do. Players with old points are stuck with them. You can still buy the old DLCs for DAO, DA 2 and ME but if you have already bought them (or if you don't want them), you will probably keep your points 'till the rest of eternity. There is no way you can turn them into cash again, convert them into Origin credit or buy anything new with them. I must say, I'm upset by this . When BioWare switched the currency, this is a problem they should have looked into.

I can understand not being able to turn them back to cash but being able to transfer them into Origin credit would have been really convenient

It's a bit annoying, yes. I accidentally bought too many points a few years back and I've already bought every piece of DLC for the older games, so I'm stuck with the extra points, as well.

This isn't a surprise.  BioWare did say this would be the case when they announced that they weren't going to using the "points" anymore.

^ Yes, I know. But I was under the impression that BioWare was looking into alternatives. That's why I quoted Derek French in my first post. What I find annoying is that nothing happened. It's underwhelming.
