not really

i like -50% attack +200% flanking for an assassin. attack from stealth gets much more damage

That might be moderately useful if you're controlling said assassin and making sure you're always flanking. It would be worthless on an AI who won't flank. Also, wouldn't -50% attack and +200% flanking damage actually be +150% flanking bonus in the end?

You say that like +150% flanking bonus is nothing :)

Well, not nothing, no. But I'd like some sigils that are worth using on companions too :P

It is true that most sigils seem to be vastly weighted toward PCs. There is one that gives an armor bonus to the front and detriment to all other angles, that one might work on companions. Tanks seem to be the best AI for companions.

Depends on how formula works it may represent a HUGE gain or a moderate one, also depending on how much flanking damage character already deals...

Haven't played Trespasser yet, but so far these Sigils are sounding like Fade-Touched 'Berserk' trait. Seriously: Deal +10/20/30% damage, and take +100/200/300% damage? Who looks at that and thinks that's a great idea? You'd have to micromanage your stealth rogue all the time, because as soon as they brush against an dog or an AoE, they're gone. (And that's not even accounting for enemy rogues/stalkers.)

If they're supposed to be the equivalent of runes, I would see '+10% fire damage' on its own to be reasonable. Let alone adding "also everything else sucks' on it, too.

A staff has by end-game, about 80 dph. A superb spirit rune is 32 dph. That spirit damage is MORE THAN A THIRD of the base dps. Certainly not just another 8. It's on every basic attack, too, instead of 'only if you do this one element'.

Seriously, sounds like sigils need to step up their game.

Ah, cool, that one does sound good. I agree, tanks seem to actually be able to hold their own without micromanagement. Hopefully we'll find other useful ones.

I got Sigil of the Chevalier (dropped by a Hakkonite), which was +15% to front armor and -50% to all other armor. I think I sold it. But now that I think about it, this might go well on a warrior with Chevalier's Step which says something like the warrior can't be flanked by enemies. So I think some penalties can be mitigated or even negated.

^^ Yeah, my warrior could make use of that. I don't run him solo, but he's always got so much guard going on that losing barrier would make no difference whatsoever.

Those ones are pretty easy to get once you can get to the Emerald Graves (you may have to sneak past the giants, but there's usually places you can get to the brontos without being bothered).

Drop rates seem fairly decent (not as high as their research item, which now drops, but much higher than their fade-touched hides).

Sigil of the giant (+50% Mana/Stamina Regeneration -100% Cooldown Times) is nice on Varric if your PC crits alot.
