After I finished the dlc. I had that... strange empty feeling... after you finish a good book. I wouldn't call it an existence crisis :P I know I can play the games over again. I'm currently running my Lavellan (with Solas) through... and I already know what happens. So... I imagine I won't be feeling to awesome after that. My knight enchanter romanced Cullen, so that was all well and beautiful.

But I want to know what happens, dammit.

I might end up writing that fan fic I've had rolling around in my head for a while. It obviously won't be anything like DA4... but... I need to give myself closure even if it's made up lol

I'm having that similar empty feeling now that DAI has concluded. I still have a dwarf, elf, and qunari to get through the dlc but I did feel a bit sad when the credits rolled. As a Tevinter fan, I'm excited about what's on the horizon next.

Nah.  In fact, feel like playing Origins then 2 then another DA:I run again :P

As its been a few years since I played either 1 or 2 and AFTER trespasser reveals, I'm certainly feeling the same.

It happened to me too! I got the exact same feeling I had when I was waiting for DAI once I finished Trespasser. Like it finally hit me, this is the end of DAI.

Ok so I finished my last replay of Inquisition, took a deep breath, went for a walk and finally popped in The Witcher 3 which had been lying around my apartment, unnoticed and unloved for the past few weeks. It was gorgeous. It was refined. It was everything I remembered from the books and everything I love about rpgs, except elevated to a whole new level I hadn't considered possible.

Five hours later, I put the controller down, grabbed my copy of Dragon Age: Origins and fired up a brand new Warden. TRILOGY AND ALL DLC/EXPANSIONS COMPLETIONIST PLAYTHROUGH TIME WOOOO!

So yeah, probably. Maybe a little bit of a problem.

Just wish I could stand Geralt.  Even a little.  But I can't.

I dunno... Maybe it's the voice, maybe it's the stilted dialogue I've heard in various bits around the web, but it sets my teeth on edge.

So I'm actually planning a full set of DA and  ME pt's to get me through the next few months.  I'll let Thedas fade a bit whilst saving a different sort of world!

To each their own ;) What I was trying to get across, really, was that despite the fact that The Witcher 3 is an objectively amazing game in a lot of respects, to me, DA ultimately has that special something that makes me come back to it every time, regardless of how its installments have aged or how they may compare to their peers in the industry. It will be one hell of a long wait until DA4.

And oh, cool, have fun with those playthroughs!

I always get this miserable feeling after finishing a great book or game: "What do I do with my life now?"

@Avejajed: I thought you were a man for a long time. You know, everyone is male on the Internet untill proven otherwise. :D

Anyone else going through it now that DA:I Trespasser is done? Already scouring the internet for fan art and novel/news to tide me over.

Remember, the first step is admitting you have a problem.

This has been me since DAO, so... Even when we do get a new game, I'm pretty sure I spend more time speculating and theorizing than playing.

Some people complain about "having" to read the books/comics to get the full picture, but if I had it my way we'd have waaaay more supplemental crap like that. I need to feed my addiction somehow.

"They say that we need only three things to be truly happy in this world ,some one to love ,something to do  and something to hope for."

Well there is a fourth its called DA4 and I need it now ,

I have now started my 5th run through but this time not from the beginning but from a save that will allow me to change the ending by now changing the Divine ,just to keep me involved in the game ,and as Sera says were going to fight old croyspiss  or whatever his name is lol.

Not yet. I'm in the middle (alright early middle, not even at Skyhold yet) of my second playthrough. Depending on how drained I am by meaningless fetch quests by the time I'm done with this playthrough I may do another (So far I've done a human who believes in the Chantry, and this run is an Elf who doesn't like humans very much, although her attitude is changing as time goes on). I want to try a Qunari, plus I want to try a dual wield rogue, a Reaver, and pretty much every other spec too, lol.

Sometime soon I will also do another DAO playthrough. It's been a while since I've done a Warden who romanced Morrigan (my 'cannon' playthroughs usually romance Lelianna), and I need Loghain alive because I love him.

It is very, very iffy whether I will play DA2 again or not. I've pretty much done everything there is to do in DA2 and its just so long and such limited environments. I'd love if Bioware eventually did a DA2 remastered, with a new title Dragon Age: Champion (cause numbers suck), and actually made the city change as time went on based on your actions from previous acts (plus in Frost Bite I'm sure Kirkwall would be pretty), but until then I think I'm gonna be fine skipping DAO.

Once DA4 is officially announced I will probably do a 'import' playthrough of DAO (again lol), maybe DA2, and DAI.

...

....

.....

You can probably tell how much I love this series....

I have a feeling it'll be announced next year with a late 2017 release date. On the bright side Mass Effect should be out next year \o/

Well I'm sad that it's officially done, over, finito, ended, but I keep playing. So no, no withdrawal for me.

I am planning on a totally modded PT - you know, better eyebrows, better hair, better looking companions (no shiny blouse for Josephine!) - everything I can think of and find on the Web. That should help with the withdrawal symptoms for a while.

People are predicting 4 year wait for DA4? Say it isn't so...

It was slightly under 4 years between DA2 and Inquisition, and that involved building the new Frostbite engine. For DA4, they've got the engine ready to go. Plus Inquisition's already been out a year. And Inquisition was HUGE (arguably too much so) so I doubt the devs are aiming to make DA4 any bigger.

I'm going to be an optimist and say 2 years from now. Late 2017. Maybe very early 2018 just because there's always a last-minute push-back of the release date.

The extra factor is that BioWare are also working on a new IP. My current prediction is Mass Effect: Andromeda in 2016, the new IP in 2017 and then Dragon Age 4 in 2018. They won't want to release them too close together, and the new IP currently has a full staff working on it while Dragon Age currently just has a  small core team. (My guess is that they're working on a vertical slice of DA4. right now)

I love and hate that feeling. Mainly because it feels good to finish something, but its so hard to find something else to do. Always a few days where i just do nothing while i try to get comfortable again.

I'm finishing up two playthroughs, one a human archer romancing Cullen and my cannon elven mage romancing Solas. They will probably be my final playthroughs for awhile. Really want to see DA4 but in the meantime, I'll play Fallout 4 in November. I might do a replay of the Mass Effect trilogy before Mass Effect Andromeda comes out. After MEA, I'm looking forward to the new Bioware IP. By then, I hope DA4 will be right around the corner and I might run through the 3 DA games again to get ready for DA4. Sometime, between all of that a new Elder Scrolls and Zelda should come out. Even though I don't play that many games, I spend enough time with the ones I do like to have plans for the next few years, lol!
