Hello everyone,

As per the topic title, was wondering if anyone has come across any unique dialogue with their inquisitor in trespasser?

Thanks

Well you can mention being Qunari during Vivienne's spa treatment and Varric mentions that your old mercenary band is still around and is hanging out at Kirkwall

Nothing from the Qunari themselves or from the council? :(

It's pretty disappointing. Not that I expect anything else for a Qunari protagonist, at this point, but I was hoping for something (although the line with Vivienne was great).

Nobody on the council wants to point out that how suspicious it is that the Qunari are attacking the Qunari-looking Inquisitor? Nobody wants to mention that this is the first time we've seen other female Qunari besides a female Inquisitor? Can I even ask Bull some bonus questions about Qunari culture? No? Nothing? Okay, then.

The Qunari assignment of sex roles makes it unsurprising that that we've never seen a racially Qunari female before.  It had to be a Benn-Hassrath and there are distinct advantages to using non-racially Qunari Benn-Hassrath for assignments outside the border

What irked me was you can distract Iron Bull whilst the Chargers are dragging that skull in. My dwarf inquisitor can have a little conversation about how frickin' tall he is to her but aparently my Qunari inqusitor has nothing when it would be so easy.

Qunari Inquisitor: Who would've thought it Bull, two Oxmen in The Winter Palace and no one's trying to stab us.

Bull: Careful boss, I hear matadors are pretty popular in Orlais!

There, that's it, that's all I wanted Bioware!

This is why I want racial options in DA4.

Plenty of opportunity for being a Qunari to be relevant, though hopefully not just peasants thinking you're part of the invasion and chasing you out of town.  But if we delve into dragon lore...

I mean Qunari + Tevinter is pretty much the intersection of everything dragon related in this setting, right?  Great opportunity.

I know that, but I wanted to hear it discussed out loud, not infer it from codexes. The fact that nobody ever talks about it makes it feel like everyone's trying to politely pretend my Inquisitor isn't a very tall cow woman, which is ridiculous.

And I also consider my Inquisitor someone who would be interested in learning more about the world that she came from, just like a Dalish is interested in learning more about ancient elves and a dwarf is interested in learning more about Orzammar. So the fact that she never gets an option to ask anything at all is frustrating. Leliana apparently knows more qunlat than my character now.

The most annoying bit was when my Qunari handed the Qunari letter to Leliana saying "It looks Qunari". Whaddaya mean it looks Qunari?! You were bloody speaking it to Iron Bull in the base game, Read the letter!

At one point an NPC will ask if you know what a saarebas is. A mage qunari will reply that they are one.

I have never done a full playthrough as a Vashoth so far. I have been tempted since it would be perfect for a 2h reaver, but with the disconnect it seems to have in the game, the dialogue and such, it just makes me feel like I'm just playing a giant human with horns instead of an exotic person.

Maybe I should just make a dwarf after my elf playthrough... idk... already played human twice...

Hmm, that'll be a bit annoying when I send my Qunquisitor through the DLC. She is Saarari, not Saarebas. As in that's her name and the "person, not thing" part is important

Well your Inquisitor is Vashoth or depending on how you played, a Tal-Vashoth, not a part of the Qun, which is a big difference. The concession though is that with Bull along in your party you learn a lot more about the Qun's culture during the investigations of the Qunari infiltrators.

One word does not a fluent speaker make. Plenty of people can't speak or read a lick of spanish and yet know a few basic phrases, etc.

When you first meet him your inquisitor can say random qunari word and then sten. Well a Qunari greeting for soldiers I assume Tal vashoth keep some form of culture from the Qunari since well that's all they knew and I assume the PC Qunari was taught these things by their parents.

No because no one think's a Tal-Vashoth Inquisitor has anything to do with it.  I think the Inquisitor has already proven they have nothing to do with the Qunari. People understand that you could be part of the same "race" but not be part of the Qun.

The Inquisitor has achieved much, and is the one in control/power here. If you're trying to get the Inquisitor to join Orlais or disband, you're not going to incite them.  Pretty dumb move.

Gotta love how little effort Bioware put into Adaar and Cadash.

Still u ask him for translation of his famous dragon phrase. And when u ask him about qunari culture it is obvious u know little about them. Though yeah, i didn`t like the fact that my qunari character is more human with horns than qunari.

On the bright side all the war table quests for Tal-Vashoth were very funny.

I haven't played a Cadash through Trespasser, but they did get a lot of extras in Descent.  Adaar though, yeah, so far, feels rather light on content.  Only Varric seems to remember your racial traits...and gives your old Merc band jobs!  Because Qunari in the Kirkwall Guard is going to go over so well... ...well, except with, like, EVERYONE ELSE in Kirkwall...

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Bit disappointed, especially that Cadash has some great stuff for descent

I know! You would think that the parents could have taught him/her some Qunlat but then again the Qunari Inquisitor wasn't raised in Qunari lands.

Like I said in the post you quoted, I wanted to have the option for my character to take an interest in Qunari culture. Yes, I know they are Vashoth. But Cadash is a surface dwarf, yet my Cadash was able to translate ancient dwarven texts in Descent. Leliana learned Qunlat in two years, why couldn't Adaar?

Adaar barely got scraps of bonus dialogue in the main game, and then when there's finally a Qunari-related DLC, Lavellan once again got way more bonus content. It's just disappointing to never get anything extra at all.

You can speak Qunlat in the vanilla game.

It's possible that a game set in Tevinter will have a heavier qunari (and possibly even dwarf, given what Dorian says) presence than what we've seen so far... Origins gave us a little taste of everything, DA2 had a human-only protag, and Inquisition had a ton of elf lore. Descent was a nice tease for dwarves, but I do think as we learn more about Thedas-That-Was we'll see the impact on other races.

It's just a matter of hanging tight in the meantime, which is not easy.
