Hey Bioware,

Been playing your games since the very first Baldur’s Gate, bought and played DAO and DA2 on release, finished and really enjoyed every moment of it, including all the DLCs as well. Always loved how the meaningful decisions made in previous games carry over to the sequel.

I’ve bought Dragon Age Inquisition a few months ago as well, yet I never started a play through on it. Only managed to complete my Dragon Age Keep tapestry recently after days of research, tacking down and recording from my old save files.

However there seem to be a conflict with some of the decisions for DA2 in the Keep. The Act 3 tile Bone Pit (Did Hawke kill the dragon in The Bone Pit?) is linked with the Act 2 tile Hubert’s caravan (Did Hawke discover who was raiding Hubert’s caravans?) for some reason.

So now it’s only possible to select the decision that Hawke killed the High Dragon in Act 3, if and only if Hawke discovered that Brekker was behind the looting in Act 2. These two decisions shouldn’t have any correlation with each other at all.

Since it’s completely possible for Hawke to kill the High Dragon without discovering the looter of those caravans in Act 2. Players doesn’t even need to initiate the quest with Hubert in fact, as they can just walk into the bone pit and slay that dragon:

It’s what I did on my play through, didn’t even accept the Inside Job quest for the caravan in Act 2, let alone completing the quest. Yet I can still wander into the bone pit and slay that High Dragon in Act 3 in order to get my Warplate of the Champion armor chest piece. But I cannot set up the keep to reflect this.

Please fix this bug Bioware! Been hoping to play DAI since release, wasn’t able to back then due to needing to upgrade my computer. But now after all the trouble and wait, all the hassle of setting up my Keep decisions correctly according to my playthrough.

Just sad to see that I still cannot start this new exciting journey, since I cannot tailor the Keep to have it exactly reflect the world I’ve left behind. Please fix this bug so those two quests are not linked, like how it’s supposed to be. Really appreciate this!

Hi Falconwatch -

The plot you link to is for Act 3 of DA2; for your playthrough, did you happen to do the Act 2 plot "The Bone Pit"?  This occurs before the plot you mentioned you skipped ("Inside Job"), so it may have been completed.

I believe that quest shows the player that there is a dragon in the mine, and is a pre-requisite for the Act 3 events.  If so, then the Keep would seem correct, with the Act2 plot being completed before you do the Act 3 plot shown by the "did you kill the dragon?" tile.

Re: the general issue of not being able to use the Keep due to errors in the current build possibly affecting future games, this should still not be a major issue for DAI.  Since any future games using the Keep data would allow you to customize any world state before you import it, you could correct this error at that time if you wished, even if it was included in DAI.  I'd actually recommend everyone review their data for DA4 onwards, to ensure there are no errors and to allow them to select plot choices they made across multiple playthroughs / which they never actually did themselves while playing DAI.
