Hello all,

my english is horrbile. I'm really sorry. *shame*  A friend of mine checks sometimes what I write but he is playing Mass Effect 1 for the first time and ... is a bit ... occupied.

I made here in the forum a thread about "Give us more options what we can do with our lost forearm" (see here: http://forum.bioware...ioware-spoiler/). But than I had an idea about a / the next patch. Bioware said: Trespasser will be the last DLC, but they said also they could be further patches for DAI.

I have a idea for a very, very low priced Patch (makes Bioware / EA lucky), the Patch should be for free (makes every gamer happy who download it) AND should make gamers happy who were disapointed a bit fromTrespassers, in a few points. And I read A LOT in this forum.

I's an optional Patch - the gamer choose if they take it or not, it will NOT update automatically.

"The Trash-Patch - Coming back to Skyhold - after Winterpalace".

The simple Story behind this Patch: The Skyhold is yours, Even Solas said it to you. So after the Winterpalace, you go back - even if you want to abandon this place. You could pack your bag if you want to leave, or clean up if you want to reorganize the Inquisition for Cassandra / Leliana / Vivienne.

All the people who missed the Skyhold so mutch would be VERY happy. :)

OLD:

- From Skyhold you can only travel to the "Black Emporium" or to "Val Royeaux" and sell / buy some stuff, or get missing notes / letters, or plans.

- You can buy or chance some horses

- You can play a bit with the "Golden Nug" (sounds somehow dirty ... :D ).

- You can finish or chance the decoration in the Skyhold.

- You can't make any conversation with the companions and there are NO NEW Companion-dialogue! But they are sitting around and salute you, even Harding. Not all of them of course. Who could be there: Sera, Iron Bull (if he is not ... "gone") & Krem, Blackwall, Cole, Cassandra / Leliana, Josephine (is still there, but will leave soon). Who is not in Skyhold: Solas, Vivienne, Varric, Dorian, Cassandra / Leliana (if Vivienne is Divine they are both in Skyhold).

- Bioware could activate the "kisses" for the romances again, PLEASE.

- We can build some stuff in the smithy. We can upgrade some potions in the smithy. We can make ... a lot in the smithy.

NEW:

- You have some little bug-fixes, dear Bioware? We take them! :)

- Bioware have still some nice goodies around, I'm sure: Some armor / weapon plans or Horses. They could give them to us, PLEASE.  In Skyhold you can buy them ... or in Val or in the Emporium .... find the place yourself. Little quest for free.

They don't have to be perfect. BIOWARE: Don't put them to the Trash can - give them to us, even if they are NOT perfect, even if they are ugly like hell and whatever..... Call it "Trash-Patch", so the people know it. And they can decide if they want to take this Patch or not. ;)

It's also a bit an peace offer for all your Bioware-fans who made Mods. ;) I'm sure they could make some nice stuff from this "Trash". You gave them REALLY a hard time, Bioware.

- Bioware do you have some scenes? A nice song or something else you have cut out of the game? Put them back in the game, in this Patch. Don't throw it to the Trash can. Even if it not fit.

- You have some notes or information you could give us about the world or the .... elves, dwarfes, Nugs ... whatever. Give it. We read everything. We are happy about everythin, even the shopping list of the Main producer.

- A wartable mission where you choose what you want to do with your lost forearm. :) See the link here a the beginning, to my other thread:

What do you want to do with your lost forearm, Inquisitor?
- Cullen: Let it remain like this. It's a mark of honor!
- Leliana: Dagna will make you something incredible, so you could fight even better than before. My spies will get the materials necessary.
- Jospehine: We have connections to the best mages of South Thedas & Tewinter: They can restore your arm. But you will get some penalty (and it will enver be the same).

After choosing you may not see the result ingame if you selected "Dagna should make me something GREAT, new and a bit crazy!". If you choose to let the lost forearm just be like this or let Dagna make you something new, you CAN'T switch the Skyhold outfit anymore. You stil lhave to run around in your Winterpalace-outfit. But you get a notice about the future result (if you choose Dagna you get three example-pictures on the notice - for fighter, mage and scout). Question: A Dagna prosthesis with or without magic?

People who decide to let the forearm grow back for a cosmetic reason (only 50 % functioning - you can give your romance a massage, BUT fighting will be hard). They can switch the Skyhold outfit. :)

- For Solas romancers: Put a potted, rare, magical elven Mini-tree near the desk in your private room. It's an old elven sign for lovers. Nobody know how they get there.

- For Dorian romancers: Put a bottle with incredible good (expensive) whine on the desk with a note from Dorian. I don't know if Dorian go back home if you have a romance with him, sorry.

- For "only if Cassandra is a Divine" romancers: Put a book on the desk with love lyrics.

Simple but effective. A lot of people are very sad about their romances - give them a small little present like this. (I don't have one of this romances of myself, I really have just sympathy for the sad players.)

The Patch will NOT have new dialouges. Even Dagna will NOT say something if you choose to have an artifical prothestics from her. It's really just something to make some people a bit happy again: (Very) Cheap and effective!

If you have other / further ideas for something what could fit in this "Trash-Patch", please write here. Important: It should be "cheap to produce for Bioware" and make as many gamers happy as possible. And: It should NOT chance (really / to mutch) something at the world, the story, the ending or the other characters.

Thanks for your attention. :)

PS: This will chance NOTHING NOTHING at the story or the world or further games. It's clear: The Inquisitor WILL go back to the Skyhold to pack the bag or to reorganise the Inquisition. So: Every player / gamer who don't care about the options in this patch just ignore it.

Idea collection

- Why not have a variety of prosthetics for Dagna to make with different stats/abilities as an Inquisitor perk. (from: RawThunderHustle)

- Few ideas about the lost-forearm: http://forum.bioware...tch/?p=19690864

(from: tokyo1234)

- Please: Decorative gems (initially from the Templars in Hinterland) put them to a merchant, if you've completed the Hinterlands (or alternatively make some other mob drop it). So those that have quest OCD can complete these quest. (from Cm_Aurelius)

- Dragon Age Keep Idea: Adding a few panels to the Dragon Age Keep giving you the choice of how your inquisitor responds to losing their limb. (from Drasanil)

Bug collection

- Please: Slow the slides at the end....too fast to read ( from: duckley)

- The game seem not to recognize sometimes who is the leader of Orlais. Who have been choosen by you, the last time you have been in the Winterpalace.

- At the end (Winterpalace), when all companions leave and you stay alone and look to Orlais, Cullen stays beside you (if in romance). Cassandra (the Divine) suddenly walks in and through Cullen. She stands above him. Cassandra should not appear at all.

I'd be all for these ideas having some choice would be a vast improvement over the current situation of having no choice at all being hidden behind a veneer of "faux choice"

Great ideas

My fantasy is Solas will meet up with Quizzy in the fade - he has removed the evil stuff from the arm and re-attaches it. She wakes up and poof....arm back.

As for a patch - all I want is for them to slow the slides at the end....too fast to read

Our Inquisitor should be no lesser than Luke Skywalker, Jaime Lannister, Furiosa, or The Man with the Iron Fists.

It wasn't even an arrow to the knee! I'd accept that just cause it's an Elder Scrolls reference lol

You have the Inquistor say "This will not be the arrow to my knee!"

I think either Solas sent the arm to the fade to maximize it's power and eventually after his defeat (next installment) someone retrieves it and magically re-attaches it to the inquisitor (though the arch abilities are gone). Or B. The inquisitor is given a variety of prosthetics like a regular looking hand that actually has magical capabilities such as teleporting, incinerating, electrifying, or freezing enemies, (this would be for mages). For Rouges their prosthetic is either a grappling gun/crossbow, or can also daze or injure enemies with smoke, poison gas or stun gas, it can also shoot out a barrage of arrows. For dual knife Rouge's the arm would be a compact dagger that changes from hand to dagger (think assassin's creed) and can shoot out a barrage of daggers, can also daze enemies with smoke, or stun gas.

For warriors, their hand can be made out of some type of unbreakable metal. Meaning it can act as a shield and deflector, it can also launch at enemies (think Hellboy golden army) and can also be used to punch the ground to knock enemies down. Another thing for the patch would be to give us the ability to continue the game. Also, even if my prosthetic ideas aren't used for this game or at all, I would still like to be able to fight with my character so any basic prosthetic will do (if for whatever reason a mage can't regenerate limbs) that will allow fighting and normal hand movements (luke skywalker's hand is a perfect example).

@tokyo1234

I just read what you wrote in a nother thread. It touches me and I want to copy it in here. It's about the lost limb:

Like literally nobody else is missing a limb (besides Iron Bull sort of) in Dragon Age, so Bioware is telling me that the INQUISITOR is the only one to lose a limb and not have it replaced. This makes no sense at all. I wasn't shocked at the loss of the anchor (honestly).

When I first saw the Dragon Age trailers I was like "The Inquisitor is probably going to lose that hand" I even thought when Corypheus picked up the Inquistitor by the hand that he was going to take it lol.  I actually was disappointed and annoyed that one of the most powerful beings in Dragon Age is now an amputee and nobody is making a big deal about it (except us the players).

This is not Star Wars (to the person who mentioned it), this is Dragon Age so I'm pretty sure magic and their unusually advanced technology can replace any missing organ or limb, or even make it ten times better lol. I spent a good deal of time trying to protect my Inquisitor and that ungrateful world only to lose an arm not in battle but basically due to it being afflicted with god knows what, and for no one in-game to feel bad or to come up with solutions to a very obvious missing limb. It's kind of bs really that only one character (a powerful mage in my case) is literally the only amputee in the whole dragon age series, like how is that even possible?

So even though some may say it's not that big of a deal, to some of us it is because I don't want my character to be any less of a fighter than they were before, and I also don't want my Inquisitor to become a boring and useless advisor who has to be protected every five minutes (Josephine I'm looking at you).

If any of you watch Game of Thrones watch how bad Jaime almost got his ass kicked by a Dornish warrior with Jaime having only one hand and compare it to his fighting skills when he had two hands. Trust, if anybody has the option between one hand and two hands I doubt anybody is going to raise their hands and be like "I'll take one hand please."

I'm sorry Bioware (and fans) but I think the Inquisitor has been through way too much to lose a friend/or lover, influence, allies, and now the hand that made all of that possible. I hate to say it, but Dragon Age Inquisition needs a better ending. I think everyone who has beaten the game understands where I'm coming from when I say that the amount of effort put into maximizing our character's potential especially the arch abilities, it kind of feels like a slap in the face. Like here spend 70 hours+ for a character that is going to take a backseat in the next installments, (like Hawke and the Warden). It's the inquisitor, he/she saved their world and deserve so much more than what was given to them.

Please BioWare, please adopt Rappeldrache's idea about the lost limb (War table mission, etc.). I want to look at least a little bit like I used to before losing that arm. And btw, Morrigan's son did not die or lost a limb after Flemeth took the Old God soul, so why does my Inquisitor have to lose an arm just to get rid of the mark?

... because the Old God soul was not in his hand? Assuming he needed a soul to live, it seems that Kieran also had one of his own.

I don't know how much of this would be feasible as part of a patch, but there are certainly some interesting ideas. I especially like the lost-limb wartable mission :)

That said I would completely understand if Bioware can't/won't add more to the game at this point beyond fixing the bugs introduced in trespasser. So all things considered, a decent compromise/alternative could be adding a few panels to the Dragon Age Keep giving you the choice of how your inquisitor responds to losing their limb.

Add mouse and keyboard controls similar to DAO and DA2.
