from what i could search, if you have cole in the group, he "see" iron bull heart and says he had no regrets in his decision.

so i believe he never liked me...

i must say, pretending to be my friend all this time and then he backstab me... it hurts a lot.

i hope we can kill every damn qunari on the world after this...

That is because you didn't "liberate" him from the Qun. After the Chargers die Bull's spirit is broken. During those two years it's assumed that he returned to Par Vollen to get re-educated because he couldn't make the decision to let his Chargers die. What you get back is a drone Iron Bull. Save the Chargers and liberate him from the Qun and he won't betray you.

I love the fact that Iron Bull just betrays you no matter what if he is with the Qun, its just so realistic and heartbreaking.

If the Bull has the chargers he got a cutscene with them, so I was wondering what is the alternate cutscene. But I heard people saying they didn't get any cutscene, Is that true?

So he betrays you all the same if he is romanced? Does he say the same line? Also does this happen if he is not in your party.

This was a shock to me, he said they were no longer qunari and i believed him. I was already struggling with the difficulty, being down to 3 really pushed me to the limit and actually forced me to fight tactically to get through.

Definitely no more romancing one. Betraying bastard.

Sadly, the Elvhen do not show much trustworthiness either when it comes to romances.

Thankfully, at least we have Sera.

Spoiler

I agree. It made him a brainless drone of the Qun. No more than a pawn.

I also love your avatar... ;)

Bull loved his Chargers. Of course he would turn on you if you leave them to die.
Pretty much shows that you find a ship more important then human lives....

I... totally didn't get the qunari pun on Boss and Bas... jesus christ I feel dumb now. This is almost as bad as when I had just realized when Sera said breeches she was making a pun out of the breach.

A hundred Qunari on the vessel...

But yes. You show him that it's important to save an asset of the Qun than his friends he fought side by side for so long.

You think that what he says isn't "Boss" but in fact "Bas" the whole time?

Don't, I had to look it up also.
Bas is a (derogatory ) term in Qunlat from Basalit-An, meaning a non-Qunari worthy of respect.
Bas meaning a foreign "thing" that's purposeless.

Yep, but as we all know decisions don't matter in DAI :o

Still I have always saved the chargers because my Inkys main loyalties lie with the South and not the Qun.

Yeah i loved how this decision came back to bite me, hardest decision i made in DA... I spent a ridiculous amount of time paused on that dialogue screen, but i was roleplaying a inquisitor who would do what it takes to stop the threat and i felt having the qunari on side was the right decision over siding with a small mercenary band.

This is one of the weird times where i was heartbroken by the result, yet i am really glad it happened. Choice and consequence

Yes, I always felt that sacrificing the chargers would be more true to seeing the bigger picture sort of. So it is always a tough one. But in the end my Inkies never have been able to sacrifice their friends. Not really a general am I. :)  Will have to do it in the furure though!

really, first time i've been so depressed in a game...

even mass effect 3 ending was awesome for me, but this? good job with the story and making me cry...

almost at the end of trespasser and iron bull betrayed me!!

iron ****** bull betrayed me because i sacrificed the chargers and kept him loyal to the qunari.

i must say, if you think your choices have no consequence, think again.

worst choice of my life. still can't believe i had to kill one of my best buddies.

well, i must say. well played bioware, well played.

If you sacrifice the chargers you deserve your fate! How could you do that to Krem? DALISH? HOW COULD YOU???!?!

Neeeeeeeeever happening in my game. Nope, nope, nope - saw it on YouTube and it broke my heart.

Though I don't know why ANYONE who encouraged him to stay loyal to the Qun is surprised when he stays loyal to the Qun.

ME3's endings were sh*t in my opinion. This DLC had a pretty good ending. I only don't like the fact I lost a limb.

Also, your choices did have consequences. Never trust the Qun.

Saving the dreadnought isn't really encouraging him to stay loyal to the Qun. It can be simply seen as acting in the interests of the Inquisition. Or you can even make a moral case based on the likely crew size of the dreadnought, or the duty you have towards your allies.

What it is, however, is putting the (supposed) greater good over loyalty to your friends. So it's hard to criticise Bull for not valuing your friendship highly enough to betray his people and faith.

DAMN FRIGGIN' RIGHT!

I think Sera actually disapproves of sacrificing the Chargers.

No. I'd rather live and have full control on my character's fate ... and limbs.

i need to stop being stupid...

the big guy keep telling me that those were rogue qunari.

WHY DIDN'T I PAID MORE ATTENTION? there is no rogue qunari. there's qunari AND tal vashot, and bull never called them tal vashot.

sigh, everything was so obvious, but my trust in bull got the better of me
