It'd be nice for the hair to actually flow, and move with the movement of our character as well as environmental effects. Much better than being completely frozen in time.
Long hair for male and female protagonist FTW

We need Geralt's real time beard growth.
Im onboard with this, having your beard slowly grow through the passage of time in the game would awesome. TW3 did it speldidly and GTA 5 to a certain extent(if you had a clean shave your beard will slowly grow) though it took a long time but still cool.
Also i hope they have actual dreads this time around(not conrows), it doesn't have to long since their are short dreads too.

Video games are just pixels, bruh. No actual hair anywhere.
Never has someone else voiced my thoughts so perfectly.
I tried to find a picture of a game console stuffed with hair, but to no avail.

I've seen good things about dragon age Inquisition's character creator and how people created Daenerys Targaryen but it doesn't look like hair actually flows properly there.
It's in many ways their best CC, albeit with some of the worst usability. It's very powerful, though.
The hair, unfortunately, is terrible.

Personally, I don't want actual hair in my game. I prefer to open the box and just find a disc and a manual. ![]()
As for digital hair, I have yet to see a game where long hair really looks convincing. Witcher 3 is not bad but even there, it still looks too coarse and doesn't animate very realistically. I guess this is where we are headed for now but even in this vid, only some of the examples actually look good, others still look fake.
Hair and liquids, IMO the two most difficult physics based graphical highlights to simulate properly. Until they make some major advances in the tech, I think I'm still mostly going to stick to short hairstyles in games.
My guess: Valve will perfect animating both first and then release Half Life 3, where Gordon Freeman fights long hared aliens with a water gun. ![]()

I doubt Bio will ever create decent hairstyles, and textures.

I still hope they might give us at least one hairstyle with curly hair.
Also, I want something fancy.

Yeah I noticed that lot of game with CC always miss to put in afro hairstyle.Which is shame I want to have green afro while I'm saving galaxy.....more like destroying galaxy even more....but sadly for galaxy I'm only hope they have so....lol
Wish they implement a better character creator like eve
I think they will do good as far as CC's sliders are considered(they done big step with DA:I CC), I'm worried mostly about hair and eyebrows in here, I think we all can agree we don't need bald syndicate and caveman-brows to repeat twice!

Yes! I say the more hair options we get, the better. Especially for our female characters, more long hair options (ponytails and whatnot).

As long as its not fifty shades of bald like Inquisition I'm good.
It also depends if the Pathfinder is Alliance military or simply a specialist. Military styles should at least be reasonable (even if it's space military). Mass Effect's options were fairly good even if slightly limited. If they aren't military, however, then I definitely hope for a bigger variety. Destiny's Human and Awoken styles are a good frame of reference to look to. Some of the styles are futuristic and fun while others are functionally decent. Plus there's at least short, medium and long hair for all.

Anyone else hope the facial hair at least looks a lot more 'real' and decent looking? Some of the beards/mustaches in Inquisition looked kind of plastic. I'm hoping since Andromeda is PS4/PC/X1 only that hair in general will look better.

You served in the military. I'm sure you saw women with long flowing hair. I know I did when I was in the military. When they wear their uniform, they had their hair tied up tightly within regulation.
I don't see a problem with a female having long hair as long as its tied up. I understand a male having a high and tight haircut if he were in the military.
If the main character isn't in the military, than I have nothing against the character having whatever hairstyle they want
True, women in the military can and often do have long hair. They just wear it tied up while on duty.
If the protagonist is military however I can do without long hairstyles and hipster beards for the male characters. Neither would make a lot of sense given the character's backstory. I'd rather the devs just focused on making the short hairstyles and short/trimmed beard options look decent, in that case.
If the character were a pirate or some sort of freelancer though, some longer styles with the hair and beards might make more sense.

Deus Ex will be using it so... yes, even if the console versions are lesser.

Yep, Tomb Raider definitiive edition used it, as does the next TR game (where the hair looks insane and is worth the price of the game alone) and Deus Ex is using too
