So now that many of us have had some time to really ponder about the final decision of the game, should the Inquisition disband or continue?

I'll admit, I'm torn. I've thought about it a lot and considered points from both perspectives and there really is no clear choice for me. I'll admit I'm a bit more partial to continuing the Inquisition, provided Cassandra is Divine and the Inquisition itself becomes a peacekeeping/investigation force. Not unlike the Ben-Hassrath for the Qunari...although such a statement may rub a lot of you the wrong way at the moment.

Vote and discuss.

Disband! It should have been an option over TWO years ago.  At least game time anyway.

Going in I thought I would disband it but after that ending...

The bottom line is that the Inquisition's job isn't done yet. Solas was behind the Breach and only the Inquisition has any experience in this type of elven-magic, international crisis thingy.

Within the context presented by Trespasser, I prefer the option to disband.  The strength of the Inquisition was its ability to influence, even apart from the Chantry.  Keeping it but putting it under the command of the Divine basically just makes it identical to what the Seekers and Templars were before, and we all saw how well that went.  And influence isn't what's needed right now regardless.

Definitely disband, if for no other reason but to make everyone stop QQing.

Why do so many people want to disband, with Solas wanting to burn the world and the Qunari on the horizon? I honestly don't know why this is even a choice. Disbanding, or even downsizing, is downright stupid.

Continue.

There were still threats (Solas) on the Horizon. He was also responsible for the beach in the first place, so the Inquisition did have some unfinished business.

Thoughts on why?

Didn't I say in my post? The Qunari invasion into Thedas was only delayed, not stopped, and Solas is amassing followers (not to mention being extremely powerful himself) in an attempt to destroy the veil and the world as we know it. If that doesn't sound like a job for the organization made to restore order to a world gone mad, I don't know what does. And as Han Shot First said, he's responsible for the Breach, and you know him best.

Well back when the Inquisition formed some crazy would be god was going to destroy the world.

Now though, some crazy would be god is going to destroy the world.

One had an army of Venatori
One has an army of Elves

The Inquisition is no more needed now than it was against Corypheus, which is to say its completely needed.

The choices won't mean much in the end so it doesn't really matter. I went with disband. The inquisition was useless anyways since I did most of the donkey work.

Disbanding, naturally. A large organization is useless with Solas having spies everywhere.

Disband AND

Get Lilana to bring in the HoF

Get Varric to bring in Hawke

Get a false arm made from Dragon Bone

Go kick some arse.

Continue. I didn't rise up from the dregs of society (dwarf / Carta origin) to walk among (and within :P) titans in an age of heroes, recruiting the best and brightest minds of the age to become the ultimate vanguard against evil, only to melt away and hang up my coat when the Dread Wolf howls for Armageddon.

Disband. Those that served with the Inquisition have done their part to keep Thedas safe. They deserve to go home unmolested by the ingratitude of those they risked their lives for.

Corypheus had spies everywhere, including inside the Inquisition itself. Was the Inquisition useless against him as well?

Continue.
The Inq rose from necessity, and that hasn't changed. There's a LOT of dark times on the horizon.
Who else is going to do it?
Orlais? Lol I think not.
Fereldan? They have their own problems, still.
Chantry? They'll likely try to help people, but what they can do is extremely limited.
Ideally,
It'd be nice to see all three join forces, but the reality is, that won't happen.

Look, if they didn't turn their forces over to Cipher Orlais/disband then Skullface a surprisingly well spoken Hurlock would destroy Mother Base Skyhold and Big Boss the Inquisitor would be severely injured in an explosion a magical explosion, wind up in a coma for nine years, and still lose the left arm.

Pardon me to say it's simply for making you feel great and that you're still the boss to all of it but in fact you changed nothing

Bioware implicitly wanted the inquisition disintegrated...or an empty shell

Disband. "Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance." - Sun Tzu

Sun Tzu said that! And I'd say he knows a little more about war than you do, pal, because he INVENTED IT! And the he PERFECTED IT so that no living man could ever best him on the field of honor!

I also disbanded. In eyes of everyone, the Inquisition was done. We did not need the current organization anymore. Especially considering that Solas' spies were the ones who dragged us to Qunari spies. We will rebuild. We will restore order. We will stop the Dread Wolf. With, or without anyone's approval! He better be ready. Because I already am.

My first character decided to disband. My qunari mage will keep it together.

Other characters-  undecided.

Gotta have one of each though for DA4. LOL

Disbanded. Trespasser made it pretty clear that the Inquisition had been infiltrated by all sorts of spies from both Solas and the Qunari. What good are a load of forces when the enemy knows your intent before you can do anything, and sabotage is always possible too
