I was always leaning towards disband, but the thing that cinched it for me was the conversation with Solas, when he says (paraphrased):

"You know how the Qunari plot first came to my attention? The Qunari spies in the inquisition tripped over my spies in the Inquisition'. I felt like... oof. The organisation that my quizzy had spent three years helming - where everyone seemed to support and love her - had been infiltrated *that* easily. Of course it had.

My personal feeling was better to chase Solas with a smaller, informal group of core allies - more nimble and less predictable that way. Plus my inquisitor gets some much needed r&r and quality with her companions and LI.

Mind you, I'm pretty sure the devs have stated that neither choice is definitely the 'right' one - it just depends on your priorities as a player. So I'm pretty sure neither decision is the "stupid" one!

Outwardly disband, the Inquisition was designed to fight Coryfish fighting Fen'Harel needs different tactics.

- Female, soft, firendly Inquisitor, my "little Lady-Inqui": Disband :) She isn't hart enough to support this further without a longer break, with her romance option of course. She want to save Solas.

- Male, wild Inquisitor, my "crazy Inqui": Keep it together!  And his love Cassandra will support him. :) He want to have Solas head.

I was going to disband, but then I decided not to.  My inquisitor wants to publicly prove something to the Dread-Wolf.  He believes that disbanding only makes it more difficult to stop him, since he feels the only reasonably likely way to do so is to convince him to stop.

I went into the DLC thinking there was no way I was gonna disband what I'd built but I actually feel like it's necessary. And not just cuz the devs kinda nudge you in that direction. Canon will disband though the Inquisitor I went through chose to keep it under Leliana, it made sense for him. Next one is gonna disband tho.

Inquisition should remain

Weed out the spies, you have the people for it (Leiliana & Iron Bul) . Its forces are always brought down to more manageable but still imposing number.

You got 2 wars on the Horizon, one with the Qunari and a shadow war with Solas, to fight both resource will be required. Not something a small group can accomplish

Disband with out a doubt. I mean Solas AND the qunari had spies in the inquisition. If we didn't disband anything we planned wouldn't be a secret. Being disbanded and not tied down to one place gives the inquisitor and friends a bit of freedom to move around without having a spot light on them. Also I feel it would make it harder at least a little bit for solas and the quanri to spy on any of them. Also forget working for the chantry, there as about as useful and trustworthy as the nobles. Also we will no doubt be someone new in the next game. The next Protagonist will most likely be the one to build up a force/group of companions to stop Solas and possible the qunari.

I started the game thinking my Inquisitor would never disband. The inquisition was a shelter for everyone wronged by the chantry &co and willing to fight for the people, for a change. She intented to keep it that way. But Leliana's comments et Joséphine and Cullen's discussion (plus Solas telling her about the spies) made me realized she never had the control over the Inquisition. It's too powerful and was corrupted from the very begining with Solas. For the outsider, she's just the chief of an army full of ex-templars, mages and spies. Her actions are what she is judged on, and as the Inquisitor says themselves at the ending, they did the job with or without anyone's approval. Of course, once Corypheus is defeated, no one would tolerate it anymore. There was no choice, the Inquisition had to change. Ultimately, I chose to (angrily) disband because there was no way in hell I would answer to the divine and turn like the seekers or the templars. This is completely the opposite of what the (her) inquisition was.

Plus, as Leliana said, Solas knows everything about the Inquisition and the Inquisitor. The Inquisition was a giant with clay feet full of qunari and elves spies. Time to turn it into a much smaller and mobile group. The qunari war is not really the inquisition's (first) problem. Solas is, and the only way to defeat him is to hide in the shadows, as he did. Considering his powers, a frontal attack would never lead to a victory. So, it's time to put the swords away for a while and do more intelligence work. I'm totally satisfied with this choice.

Your poll is incomplete: it should include the Inquisitor's decision regarding Solas as well

Disband. The Inquisition becomes the ultimate Theodosian A-Team.

Disband the context of the DLC and solas words made me pick the option. Dealing with solas's plan requires a different kind of group than the inquisition picked the angry disband though wanted to give the political middle finger to those bastards.

I agree. A different foe requires different strategies. Especially if said foe knows perfectly how the organization works.

Disband it or keep it, either way it's still active

...and would you not remain in the shadows, if you knew a man you potentially called a friend intends to destroy the entire world?

I am one of the Elvhen, but Fen'Harel is friggin' NUTS!

Disband.

The Inquisition is a spy-riddled mess that's lacking any mandate besides "might makes right".

What good can you do if the enemy knows your moves before you do and every bigger organisation/nation is against you?

Disband doesn't sound like a good idea to me. So what if spies infiltrated the inquisition? Venatori spies infiltrated Denerim and the Winter Palace during the main game, should we disband Ferelden and Orlais government? The Qunari have spies everywhere too and if i remember correctly, Leliana says they had Gaatlok ready to blow up everywhere in Thedas, without the Inquisition's "help".

The point is that the Inquisition isn't the only organization susceptible to corruption and the DLC tries really hard to make you believe that it is.

Also, Solas isn't the only threat. Choosing to serve the Divine will keep the Inquisition ready to face other threats, while a small group of trusted people can work under shadows to stop Solas. So yeah there is no need to disband IMO.

I chose disbanded. The Inquisition played its role in closing the Breach and history shows that many powerful organizations that live past their initial design have the tendency to become corrupt in the long run.

Plus Solas is smart and knows too much about the Inquisitor and his/her allies. No need to open the door to more sabotage. It's best to just start fresh with trustworthy friends.

The choices won't mean much in the end so it doesn't really matter. I went with disband. The inquisition was useless anyways since I did most of the donkey work.

I'd like to point out that even IF you keep the inquisition with oversight (which is what I wanted anyway...though i would have preferred to stay outside a specific power structure), the war council still sets up the shadow inquisition in what appears to be the ruins of Haven.

In that case betterhe focus efforts on the inquisition he knows. You disband and he'll go looking for your new organization. The legit inquisition has value even if only as a decoy.

Disbanded also.  i agree too many infiltrations in the ranks.  need to flush the bowl and start fresh.  We see the people that matter in the end scene are ready to start again regardless.  Best to give the illusion of backing away and be more careful with the open door policy.  Lets face it, when it came right down to it, only 4 people did all the fighting anyway lol.

Continued the I quisition, the spies will be dealt with, and we'll continue on stronger and better equipped to fight the Qunari and Elves.

In the meantime a new spymaster is called for. Leliana is clearly not cut out for the job anymore.

I had Divine Leliana and I felt she's going to need help with those who want to undo her reforms just as much as needing a force to combat Solas and possibly the Qunari.

The whole 'spies everywhere' thing was a good wake-up call that the Inquisition got too big and needed to be down-sized while things were relatively peaceful and having new recruits heavily screened.

And I said to Solas I would prove him wrong about this world and this was my first challenge to his assertion the Inquisition will fall to betrayal and corruption.
