Having finished Trespasser and not even noticing the toggle ability with the last update, I decided to attempt my first solo archer run.  Admittedly, my first NM run was a crit oriented artificer, with Varric and I feeding each other well enough to in many cases have next to no cool downs and on many occasions running three archers and a tank or mage, depending on what I was getting into.  Three archers, with two artificers essentially means you are a mobile artillery battery in which most things are long dead before they reach you, was far more brutal set up than I expected.

This time, after looking at some of the new toggle abilities, there is a lot of CC capability, Evade has a nice stealth feature, and Leeching poison, yes, thank you.  Even Caltrops is worth considering upgrading.  All the elements seem pretty sweet, however, I am reminded by the DAO days when one of the roughest areas to solo was the random encounter with a pack of wolves.  Damn Bioware dropped bionic hounds from ME3 universe or something.

Needless to say, mobs are brutalizing me and the Blood mage on the Storm Coast was wearing titanium t4 robes layered with health pots or something because it took me longer to take out that one mage than it did my first group attempt at the Frostback.  Probably should have started my first attempt on hard instead of NM but I'm willing to bet once I hit SH, things will flow and then decision time, as Artificer was always more group oriented, or I thought so at least, but with Fallback now resetting all cool downs and stacking bleeding, I am wondering if I might not still use this route.

Any post toggle input on solo archer specializations?
