It's just a crap video game.  Just ugh.   From both the controls (having to hit the arrows/number keys in 2015 FTW!), to crawling backwards at times when I didn't mean to, to crap stealth mechanics (someone two meters away shines a light directly on you, and still can't detect you), to the abject and complete lack of a national core identity. 

 

And all this is beside your ******.  Take your love of MGS someplace else.

Also, I don't know why it's such a difficult concept for you to process the idea that someone can dislike/hate certain things about a character - such as their outfit -

I don't like freezing rain. I like warm rain..... I don't hate rain.  so, no, I don't grasp hating rain... in your case an outfit, of all things.  Perhaps, it's terminology. I reserve the word HATE for persons and not objects.

 

Also, as I'm not a 15yr old, I can immerse myself in the game and not "see" her outfit... Obviously, from some posts, her outfit seems to blink in bright flashing red lights. Me... I play the game... certainly I don't buy one because there is a pic of a scantily clad female in the cover art.

 

If someone gets upset at a supposedly deliberate attempt to sell games with semi naked warriors/soldiers... that's tough boobies because it's called American Capitalism... sell semi autos, even military grade weapons to civilians who then go on a rampage and shoot college students....hell.. that seems to be OK since Congress refuses to tighten gun laws... but show some skin in a M 18+ rated game... oh, my.

 

Anyway, all I can say is don't buy a game that offends one's sensibilities.

I believe that would fall under spoilers and isn't incredibly relevant to the discussion, a minor nitpick at best.

 

Also her only titillating scenes are in the helicopter? Are you kidding me? Apparently you missed the rain scene and how the camera perves on her with nearly every frame in every cutscene she is in.

What about it?  Yes, I saw it.. no I did not get your reaction (I' m straight, btw)... found it puzzling, amusing even silly, 'cause at first, I thought she was a vampire (see Underworld movies) jumping off that heli and landing softly... then the rain scene.. which puzzled me greatly why she was sloshing in the water...

 

On spoilers.. I corrected your assumption on her inability to speak...

Thanks for trying it out.. I intended to buy the game on sale to see what the ruckus whats all about. Obviously its a pizz poor console port....

I've actually wanted BioWare to try there hand at a mute companion ever since I played Dead Money. Christine communicated a ton through hand jesters and facial expressions but the problem was none of that was conveyed using animation, it was all written text. 

 

Was gonna mention Christine, I loved the communications with her. It worked great in written text, would've been even better with some animations to go with it.

Pretty sure Mass Effect already has its share of female squad-mates with inexplicably revealing outfits. 

 

And based off the average quality of Mass Effect's character facial expressions and animations, the thought of them trying to pull off a mute character is frightening to me. Bioware is too fond of its expository dialogue, anyway, it's hard to imagine a character in a Bioware game that doesn't tell you their entire sad backstory the second or third time you talk to them on the ship.

A woman in a Bikini is enough to warrant an M 18+ rating? To be honest I am not sure what your issue with my comments is or what you are arguing? Quiet is not the only character in the Metal Gear series to be photosynthetic.

Here you can see him rocking a heavy coat and trouser combo with a sort of leafy camo pattern, he was the first character featured in the Metal Gear franchise to rely on photosynthesis yet he seems to be doing alright despite being heavily clothed. He is also the origin for Code Talker (who is also fully clothed) and Quiet's photosynthetic abilities. Perhaps if he were running around in a thong with his shirt off it might be easier to buy into the idea that Quiet's costume was not designed purely for sex appeal but as you can see by how the End is almost fully covered it is not an assertion that can be taken seriously.

did have her lungs roasted when Ishmael gave her a light in the intro. This was mention also in her torture sequence too by Miller. Though Skullface could've given a lung transplant too... but he probably thought that was unnecessary when he infected her with the English strain of the Vocal Cord parasites to kill Big Boss.

 Now excuse me while I'll go back and debate whether or not I want to restart the game just so I can equipped the Butterfly Emblem this time.  Nah Lord Jesus Kojima-san will hear our(My) prayers and bless us in a patch or something.
