It's is almost as ridiculous as her breathing and drinking through her skin.

As I said, designed for 13yr olds - which is fine as long as it is acknowledged as such, and people accept the bollocks explanations for what they are - a (very) thin justification for having someone prance around in their underwear. It would probably be better if they didn't even bother to justify it.

Also, I notice no comment on that lovely let's kill her and then try to rape her lovely dead body scene - let me guess, that's okay as she ends up killing them all. Nothing like showing how strong a woman is by having her fight off rapists eh. Wonder why Mr Snake doesn't have to go killing a bunch of guys who try the same on him.

I hope to god mass effect doesn't go down this route - or of it does it treats it seriously.

As for her potential rape scene, the context which you have severely overlooked is that beforehand the parasite keeping her alive recently mutated and killed off dozens of people in Diamond Dogs, fearing that her English Strain may have also mutated she left in an attempt to be killed by Soviet forces and prevent herself from becoming a danger to anyone. She only lashed out when they didn't kill her and attempted to rape her instead which would have spread the parasite infection

I find it hilarious how easily people bash her with little to no knowledge behind the scene they decided to youtube. This girl has layers beyond her clothings as do all women, how easily people on BSN look more juvenile than the thing they are bashing *facepalm*

I'm pretty sure that ingame explanation for her outfit is not reason why her character was actually designed like that, it's just excuse to justify her fanservicey outfit in the game so that it wouldn't feel unfitting.

 

I actually read article about Kojima wanting to sex her outfit up in order to make it more cosplayable (I do not understand this one) and sell more figures so I guess those are the real reasons behind her outfit.

Ehh, I am square in the target demographic and I think it looks stupid. Not sexist or shameful or whatever other dramatic word, but stupid. I mean, it's a given since this is Metal Gear and the series takes pride in being entertainingly dumb most of the time, but still.

 

Beautiful women are nice. But I'm not 14. I don't need pixels to agitate their breasts at me every other minute, to say nothing of the suggestive camera angles, comically ''sultry'' poses and the hilariously absurd rain scene that is only saved by the Ocelot model swap.

 

Sexy is Eva Green. Sexy is Leliana's accent. Sexy is Emily Blunt's training poses in Edge of Tomorrow (to give examples off the top of my head). Quiet's design and mannerisms is just stupid titillation barely above the level of porn, if you ask me.

I am curious as to what distinguishes her outfit from making sense versus Quiets in MGS5..? I was thinking of some reasons... I also must add though Kid was pretty cool always kept her in the party in that game

Considering the central plot of the game is about that, yes. If you're saying it's as ridiculous as anything else in Metal Gear, that's fine, but you were trying to frame it as being mysogynist when it isn't. Spoilers: the conclusion of her character arc is that she saves Snake by....talking! So yeah no, the "Kojima is saying women should be silent!" has no basis.
